Just 5 years ago Gov. Kenny Guinn gave us all a refund on registration fees rather than save it for a rainy day. Now the rain is here, and fees are going up.
Meanwhile, Honda already has hydrogen-powered cars on the streets of Southern California. Looks like another innovation that will have to come from somewhere other than the US, thanks to short-sighted bureaucrats.
$200-$500 a head will get you dinner at Alex, Picasso, or Guy Savoy and an all day pass to the rides on top of the Stratosphere. And you'll eat a lot better than "Sky High Chicken." I think I saw that on the menu at Denny's.
There are other topless pools operating with no issues. The Rio took a big chance on cross-marketing with a gentlemen's club. The Gaming Commission does not respond well to mixing strippers and gaming. When Metro found monkey business going on (aka strippers being strippers), Harrah's shut it down to avoid the wrath of the Gaming Commission. They might re-open a topless pool eventually but it will certainly not have the Sapphire name on it.

NASCAR is like the NBA now. All you need to watch is the last 5 minutes. The last caution was so unnecessary but even the announcers knew it was coming. Bowyer got sideways but didn't hit the wall or another car. Still the officials threw up the yellow so they could have their dramatic restart. What a joke.
