Actually, Francisco is justified in his rage. After all, his clan are the reason we have to be read "Miranda" rights. Thank you, Francisco. Or, as you say, "Gracias".
I think there may be something going on here. A Kevin Miranda was arrested Sunday for a fatal DUI over on Flamingo. Now we have Francisco Miranda arrested for DUI in Boulder city. We need to check to see if they are related. Maybe father/son. I sure hope they are not related, because since one is 38 years old, and one is 18, they might have 5-10 children between them. And we will need to support them while their parents are incacerated. The taxpayers get it from the front and the rear...
Now's the perfect time to finally admit that downtown is hopeless, where the dregs of the earth flit about 24 hours a day. Maybe we can take the empty rooms, and turn them into "transitional housing" for the less fortunate. Like Section 8 housing. With giant fences around the entire structure. The Oscar Goodman House....
Murren = New York
Wynn = New York
Adelson = Massachusetts
Loveman = Massachusetts
There you have it, Ladies and Gentlemen. The Yankees and the Red Sox. What's the over/under they'll be laying you off sooner than later? No more honesty or fidelity, just a large dose of East Coast greed. May they all rot in Hell.
Belleville, Canada. Sounds like a nice place. You are probably aware that Nevada is infested with poorly educated Rednecks working for tips. And right now, they're hurting big time here. If they don't get their 32 hours a week of work, they lose their health benefits. And all the casinos are cutting their hours big time. But if they lose their benefits, so what? As long as they can hate Obama, love Bush, smoke their butts and suck on a beer while watching Fox News, they're happy. The more wars, the merrier. Wait a minute-what if they get sick? Nah, can't happen. "Honey, get my 5 gallon bucket of roofing tar, the trailer is leakin' again".
This is a Dropout/Military hell....
Wow, UNLV just beat Pitino. This could be an exciting season. Go, Lon, go.
Sammy06 is right. A Project Labor Agreement is nothing more than flushing good money down the toilet. Pat Mulroy at the Water Authority has a PLA on the foolish pipe project from central Nevada. Can someone explain why a welder in the middle of White Pine county has to be paid Union wages and benefits? Are there no people willing to work there for under $30/hr? Sheer laziness and collusion, same as this "agreement" with Culinary.
But in the end, there is always payback. Excessive Union costs stop future projects. We're seeing it now. Enjoy the Public projects, Union loafers, the private work is "ovah".
What's the over/under of this project being completed on time and under budget? With the bonds being financed with easy stimulus money, and the Unions making sure that the work is of slow motion "craftsman" like quality, and the City inspectors making sure that they have no liability of any kind for anything, it's for sure that the taxpayer will be drilled down the road for more money. Will we ever learn?
It would not surprise me, fremmasmind, that the doctors might be in bed with the contractors here. Back East, I believe it's different because the drooling liberals wouldn't stand for that crap. Once I really got injured on a job when a piece of miscellaneous steel hit my face, next to the eye. Stitches and all that. When I went to the Comp doc, he was only concerned that the wound wasn't closer, or in the eye. He said "I can only give you 15% injury, too bad, it could have been 30%". That's the difference, I guess.

If you want to live a sainted life, go back to Utah. Jesus, the bible thumpers want to go back to the Blue Law days, when Eisenhower was president.
My favorite Blue Law comes from Massachusetts: "Taxi drivers are prohibited from making love in the front seat of their taxi during their shifts".
Looks like Henderson wants its own version of Blue Laws. And just as foolish. You can see where we're headed-down Lawsuit Lane, where the City goofs will waste our money losing a first amendment battle. Oh, and "Leave the doors unlocked!" The first time an Asian woman is attacked, the city will be sued big-time.
Don't we have a City Attorney? No, not the one that quit last April. A real one?
