Mr. Oceguera is a North Las Vegas fire captain if my memory is correct. Yes, another government employee. He is also my elected representative and I'll be doing what I can to retire him back to full time fire fighting. He is an embarrassment to my district and to Nevada.
Are they still selling Yugos? We could get a good deal on those from Ben Stepman.
"Quite frankly, unemployment would have been higher without the stimulus," she said.
Please show me the proof behind your statement hun. When the cost of each of these phoney baloney (see Blazing Saddles) jobs is 500k each what benefit does Joe Taxpayer get? The answer is bupkus. Penny wise and pound foolish is what this is. The kind of logic only the government can justify.
Here's facts. Unemployment claims have been at or above 500k per week for the year. I'm just wondering how when we see that number every week we can even jokingly believe what these numbskulls are spewing. Let's put them on the lie detector and see what they say.
Remember the promise, no more than 7.8% umemployment and greater than 90% private sector jobs. Neither of these two promises will ever come to fruition. Not the kind of change I can believe in.
This bill has some familiar aspects to others. When the income tax was first passed it was only to be collected from those earning more than $1 million. Well we know how that worked out. When Medicare was passed they said it would cost X dollars when in reality the cost was 9 times that. Social Security....well we all know how much money is there (none). Just ask your legislator to show you where they keep all the money. It'll be in a shoebox of IOU's partially written in Chinese.
So what makes you think that the government has any grasp on the cost figures in this legislation. I mean people you have to use common (ok, not common any more but "good") sense when you look at these things.
If that's not enough remember that if you fail to comply with the requirement to purchase the insurance you'll be fined and jailed. At least at that point you'll be fully vested in the government health plan and provided your new living quarters thanks to Obama/Reid/Pelosicare.
And if you aren't po'd enough yet just think that wheelchairs and joint replacements for folks like our veterans will now be taxed to provide abortions. Hard earned money that you pay in taxes will go towards care for illegal aliens.
What's not to love about the plan?
"What are you in for Slim?" asks Rocco.
"Murder," says Rocco, "What about you?"
"I willfully failed to purchase healthcare insurance," says Slim.
"Wow, you are doing HARD time."
Actually thinker, if you listen to Obama's own words you'll realize what's in store for you. According to the POTUS, you'll get pain pills instead of the cure. What you people are really saying is that it's ok to tax knee replacements and wheelchairs for veterans in order to give obstetrical care to illegal immigrants and government-funded abortions. The net effect of both being that there will be no money left for you (assuming you didn't get hit with the penalty fee for not buying the government crap insurance) and if you don't pay the IRS will just take it out of any returns you are due. And on top of that we'll have an entire new government bureacracy to support (with their pensions and good government healthcare plans that we can't get) upon the backs of the shrinking tax base. But getting your facts from Keith Olberman (note his pedigree as an ESPN anchor) then you probably wouldn't know any of that.
Now I just want to bring to the attention of those who whine the howls of indignation that the health insurance companies are reaping "huge" profits. Their profit margin is 2.2%. These attorneys made 33%. Where's the outrage now?
I wrote Rep. Taxus many times urging her to not support this bill. As soon as I get done with this post I'm going to voluteer for Joe Heck's campaign.
Dina and Harry can start their own small business selling widgets. Good luck and I hope you do well.
The dems should put their money where their mouth is. Let James Carville go up against Limbaugh in a no holds barred debate. I'm sure Rush would salivate at the chance. It's easy to take potshots at someone but the true test of character is to fully engage. Anything less is cowardly.
It's another financial boondoggle in disguise. Agrees with tvegas. Don't need it....don't want it.

Mr. Thomas' alleged indescretions aside it is ridiculous to keep this man on string for this long. Justice delayed is justice denied. To produce 2,000 pages of documents on the eve of trial is a joke. If you can't come up with something on the guy in THREE YEARS of work then it is time to seriously consider dropping the charges.
