To my old Las Vegas homies...
Please don't let me down. You need to make a very public example of Mr. Simpson. You need to not let someone like a Johnny Cochran make a circus out of the trial. You need to be a lot more businesslike than Judge Lance Ito.
I went to college at UNLV and lived in LV for many years. One thing I learned early on was that you can get away with almost anything in Vegas, but you have to abide by two rules.
One, always pay your lawyer. Two, and most importantly: DO NOT BURN THE LOCALS!
OJ burned the locals, big time. OJ made Vegas look bad. The man is so stupid, and his ego is so big, that he actually thinks that the sports memorabilia belongs to him.
Sorry, Juice. The law says "your stuff" belongs to Fred Goldman. He gets it to help pay off the $33.5 million that you owe him.
This man came into your town, into one of your casino/hotels, and started brandishing around weapons and making physical threats. Once upon a time, Vegas was run in large part by the mafia. They would have known what to do with someone like OJ Simpson. Those days are now long gone. You now have the chance to put this guy's butt in jail for the rest of his life. Don't mess it up.
