Roxanne, where do I begin...you must have never lost anyone to drug addition or your in denial yourself. First with HEPA laws a family member is not allowed to know your medical issues so you can't go to the doctor and find out what is going on. Second, when your an addict you lie. You will do anything to get drugs even it is destructive to your well being. That's the meaning of addict. If you have done any research on this you would have found out even his staff found that he is incompetent. This dealer should never be allowed to practice medicine again. I also agree that there are other dr's out there doing the same thing, to them I say take notice....one at a time

Drug abuse can not be cured but you can learn to deal with life without drugs. That does not mean you still dont want drugs, but it gives you tools to help you deal with the urge to use. I have meet Dr. Pohl at a rehab center and he has help save so many lives and a 12 step program is extremely important to getting sober. Your brother is not clean or sober, methodone is just a different drug. I know the difference it makes in the recovery of a drug addict to have people who want the best for them. A Dr should always be aware if they are prescribing drugs to their patient what effect it is having on them.. you don't just give large amounts of drugs and hope the patient does not become addictive.

I don't see anywhere where nsider is asking for money from this legal drug dealer. The only thing they want is the license taken away. I see by your comments that you saw Buckwalter 3 or 4 years ago. Things can change in 3 or 4 years. By Staci's age she was graduating from high school and had her entire life ahead of her. 4 years later she is gone. If you read the article on Staci you would have seen that she went to Buckwalter for help to rid herself of an addition to OXY's. Which from the fact that she was seeking help means she was responsible for her actions. Then why after a year of not prescribing her OXY's because of that addition would Buckwalter start to prescribe them to her again? To the tune of 370 in a two week period. That would mean she would take 27 a day to follow the directions that he prescribed. If Staci was a stage 5 cancer patient she might need that many. This Schedule II drug(yes I know what that means) was meant as a last chance drug because of the high possibility of addition. As a Dr he should have known this and never precribed her this medication. For you to write that Staci was a drug fiend was totally out of line. I knew Staci and she was a young, beautiful girl who had a heart of gold and should never have been in this situation. Staci's death could have been avoided by a Dr who cared for his patients. They may never find Buckwalter guilty of criminal activies but morally he was wrong and will have to pay the price, so hopefully no other family will have to bury a young, wonderful person as Staci.

I have read everything posted about this article and what I find is that people actually think that an addict has the ability to say no to massive amounts of drugs. The definition of an addict is to do things even though it may be harmfull or destructive. This 21 year old girl was an addict and buckwalter knew it. If you are a bartender and there is someone in front of you has so much to drink they can't stand up. If they ask you for another drink, do you give it to them? No you are held legally responsible for serving someone you know is too drunk to make good decisions. Same with a drug addict. To give someone so much oxy is such a short period is legally irresponsible. Even if she lied and said "they spilled or I lost them" this is still a class two prescription that should not have been refilled at that rate. You are right, there are many legal drug dealers out there who claim to be doctors, my answer to that is one at a time. If we start getting these drug dealers put in jail, the others may think twice.

This so called Dr. is a legal drug dealer and should be treated as such. I hope they take his license and send him to jail for a very long time. It will not bring back my loved one but at least something good could come out of such a tragic death.
