This is a story about the powerful ruling-class elite being forced to mingle with common people. You and I could try and try to meet with the president or even a top-level advisor for the next 3-7 years and get absolutely nothing. Because the president cannot give his attention to any one person, all persons must be denied access. To do otherwise would be perceived as unfair.
The president can only afford to devote his time to other powerful, elite individuals; corporation, special interest groups, and moneyed lobbyists. This is not about democrats and republicans.
Don't forget Dina Titus is the same person who changed the law to allow the DMV to sell your private information to businesses for commercial purposes! I don't trust her and I don't care what she has to say.
BoA has been very helpful to this Southern Nevada resident. With 20% down they allowed me to borrow lots of money so I could buy a home. It was very helpful and my family appreciates the opportunity. The seller was even kind enough to pay closing costs so I don't have to hold that against BoA. BoA also has the absolute best online banking features I've ever seen and I've tried many.
None of the things Senator Reid mentions sound very profitable. Hmm, more staff and less return, no thanks.
I will say, however, that if you e-mail customer service, you may as well just set your hair on fire and jump off a cliff. Your problem will be over faster with a better result.
I'm laughing my @$$ off at this after viewing his website where I found these gems:
He received a reward "which is designed to honor individuals who work tirelessly to improve the beauty, safety, livability and future of our communities and who have made Nevada a better place for all citizens" [except the handicap]
He was called "an excellent role model, a great ambassador for Las Vegas and a true humanitarian who gives back to the community through deeply heartfelt and meaningful actions" [and by parking his gas-guzzling suv where the heck he pleases, while concurrently introducing legislation to "create a cleaner Nevada for our children"]
What a turd!
We will NOT run out of water. Water may become very expensive but we will not run out. If it means desalinating and pumping from California, that's what the valley will do. If it means constructing a 3000-mile pipeline from the Hudson, that's what we'll do. New York gets so much rain it overwhelms their sewer system on a regular basis. Country-wide, we don't have a shortage issue, we've got an allocation issue.
Regarding what Northerners think of Southerners, I disagree. Northern (and rural for that matter) Nevada wants little more than to be recognized. Most Las Vegans have never been north of Indian Springs, if that!

"the proposal would cost $1.20 to $1.60 per household per month"
$1.60/month for a 75% recycling mandate? Sign me up! We already have one of the largest landfills in the world (http://tiny.cc/r4D5c). I'd be happy if people would stop stealing my cans " but 75%, wow!
