Syren is right on this. Olive branch my a**. If those Paul people really believe compromising their votes for the party regulars is going to gain them anything other than the temporary fake thanks for not embarrassing the party they are fools. The party now knows that they can take from these people and take they will continue to do.
They caved. And after the way they were treated, being shadowed by the security "black hats" that threatened to take away their credentials if they did anything suspicious, not allowed to talk or sit with other Paul supporters, after their belongings were rifled through and anything potentially embarrassing on national TV was confiscated (like a Paul sign), after the mics being turned off every time a Paul supporter came near one.
And after all that the Paul votes were not even read. The party was so desperate to show the world the lie that is a unified party behind MaCain they pretended the Paul votes weren't even there. In hind sight perhaps it would have been worth the credential confiscation and expulsion to get ONE undeniable protest in the national media outlets. The unprecedented level of aggression and "preemptive strikes" the police took with protesters outside the convention were barely a burp beside the 12 course meal of convention bull. How many of you know we now have a bunch of kids in prison on trumped up terrorism, and conspiracy to commit a riot charges, when ten years ago they would have been facing some misdemeanors?
Shameful, embarrassing, and worthy of any election in China.
