Turns out he was hit in a crosswalk as he road across the crosswalk, which is illegal. I dont know about most people, but bikes fly right into the intersection so fast that cars never see them coming. This is why the state law is that they must WALK their bike across the crossWALK if they are going to use it. As a result I hear the driver is not being charged

Yeah. Had some family visiting and saw a homeless Ironman walking around with a roller luggage. I honestly think this "batman" thought he was special with his slappy hand movements. Just when I think my hometown cannot get any weirder, Batman gets slammed WCW style.

People have been using hand held cells in cars since the bag phone in the early 90s. That is 20 years. The problem is texting more than anything. On the way to work I watched a guy looking down and texting while going 60 mph on the 95 in the construction zone next to the concrete barriers....

And on the same vein then eating a burger and talking on blue tooth is a horrible combination because oyu are holding something and talking to someone on cell. Or holding a cigarette and using bluetooth....

"And Frank Adams, representing the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association, answered it. He said talking on a cell phone disrupts the cognitive ability of drivers as opposed to eating."

Cognitive is the thought process. Sooooo, why does moving it to blue too the then help? The same cognitive process will be taking place, just without the hand which is a physical process (i.e. hamburger). For that matter, talking to a passenger is a cognitive disruption.

Thus, the logic is flawed by stating that removing a physical aspect (the hand) is used to resolve what is a disruption to the cognitive aspect (the thoughts).
