Heres a sad fact for the Palin lovers. She lies. A liar who thinks nothing of standing before a TV audience of 37,000,000 and misleading Amnerican voters.
In her acceptance speech, Palin mockingly accused Obama of being "a man who had authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform", then she inferred that John McCain was the guy with his name on all the laws and reforms. Well, in Newsweek and KOS (links below) Palin has been busted by the facts in US Senate/Government records.
Her disparagement of Obama was 100% false. In fact, in just 4 years in the US Senate, following 8 in the Illinois Senate, Obama has successfully authored more major laws than McCain has in his 22 years in the Senate! Shocking, isn't it. Both candidates' records and laws are well detailed on KOS. Obama has not only authored more laws than McCain, his laws are more impressive, national and global in stature and relevant to the issues facing the American middle class today. According to KOS researcher/ writer; "For all the grand talk of experience, it is hard to imagine anyone looking at this record and presuming McCain should be the one trumpeting experience. And it is entirely shameless and dishonorable that McCain should abide the lies (i.e. that Obama has no legislative accomplishments)that came from his running mate". A powerful condemnation of Palin's dishonesty and McCain's complicity.
If Sarah Palin is so comfortable lying to the American public about a major point of someone else's honor in her historic introduction, it probably wasn't her first time. She carried it off like a pro, falsely convincing viewers that Obama is ill qualified with less experience than herself, whereas nothing could be farther from the truth. How can voters trust her now? A troubling question of ethics and impropriety in a campaign already tarnished by lies and false content of attack ads .

Peterclarke - - it's an expression I don't like to use but in this instance is appropriate; you don't know what you're talking about. You're so off base you should be embarrassed for just spouting off without the facts to support your claims.
First, Obama was 8 years in the Illinois Senate then 4 in US Senate. He ws also the President of the Harvard Law Review, a Civil Rights lawyer and a Professor/ Lecturer in US Constitution Law at University of Chicago. Unlike McCain and Palin, he authored his own two books, which both were best-sellers. In Chicago, he was heavily involved in education, sitting on many non-profit boards.
His record in the US Senate so far has outstripped McCain. McCain deserves credit for the landmark McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Bill, his single major achievement, in addition to many bills where he was partially involved. Obama authored 6 or so "major laws" on subjects ranging from ethics to education. A significant achievement, testament to his leadership, is the bipartisan legislation which requires all police interogations to be videotaped. Now a national model, this legislation has increased convictions while reducing jailhouse beatings. He has also authored the first major ethics reform bill since Watergate, and anti-nuclear proliferation bill, the Google for Government Bill, requiring Federal contracts to be posted on the internet, he sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare, to name but a few. You can visit these on KOS below.
Obama has served on the Senate Committee for Foreign Relations, the Environment and Public Works and Veterans Affairs Committees, the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. He gave the now famous keynote address at the 2004 Democratic Convention.
This is just a small summary of Obama's many accomplishments which are considerable, not all listed here, and prepare him well for the road ahead to the presidency.
May I suggest that before you make claims about people's qualifications, you first check out some facts rather than misrepresent their record as less than it actually is.
