The pedestrian bridges are there to keep this from happening! When they check in to their hotel, they should be informed to use the bridges that will save their lives as opposed to saving a few steps & putting their lives in jeopardy.

Metro should have unannounced DUI checkpoints. Then again, when someone is drinking or on drugs & driving, they probably wouldn't remember where the checkpoints are. We need to have the no cell phone while driving in effect. January 1st is too far away! Idiots who talk on cell phones while driving are equally as dangerous as drunks on the road!

I see Chase's defensive rebounding creating many fast break buckets and Coach Rice will put the "Runnin" back in Runnin Rebels. Coach Tark's glory days are on the way back!

A cell phone/texting law is imperative here in NV! Other states have it and it is about time we followed suit. Whenever a vehicle is driving slowly, erratically or downright doing something stupid, when I do pass them, typically they are talking on the phone. It costs $20 for a bottom of the line bluetooth device, which works as well as the more expensive ones. That is the price of half a tank of gas. If you can afford to drive, you can afford a bluetooth. People talking on their cell phone or worse, texting are just as dangerous as drunk drivers. This needs to be stopped! Granted, it's just another reason for Metro to pull you over, but it is very necessary!

Many years ago a member of the LVCVA told me that the "official" temperature of Las Vegas was taken @ McCarran Airport, but on the north side (out of the sun) and 2.5 stories up, so you don't get the heat radiating from the pavement. Several years ago, on a day when the "official" high temp was 115, it was actually 128! Anybody want to fry an egg on the pavement?
