Mountain's Edge should have never been approved as development, much less receive any additional support from our government. The developer of that project is in bankruptcy. I say don't invest another dime into infrastructure into that community until our older, more established (residence and tax base) get their far share of parks and infrastructure.

It's obvious that this lawsuit is misguided. Chris Edwards turned State's evidence to cover his hide for a program he did not seek approval for and then got busted. I'm not sure the "21" program is so much criminal as it is sloppy. Either way, the charges will be dropped or unfounded, Edwards will walk, and the world will keep on moving forward... except maybe for Edwards, who will have a hard time finding another job in advocacy or politics.

For everyone who owns a home in North Las Vegas within 3 miles of this development, be warned: current estimates, based on minimal to no new construction of homes, are that it will take you almost a decade to regain the lost equity in your home value. IF these homes get built, forget about it. It will add at least another 5-7 years on top of that. This means those of us who bought a home and have a mortgage to pay and are NOT abandoning our homes, will NOT see our home values recover for 13-15 years. This is unacceptable. Greedy developers who paid WAY TOO much for the land should not be bailed out by government to ensure they make a healthy profit at our expense. This development was flawed from the beginning and Olympia Development Group- who developed Southern Highlands, should not be getting a hand out. Let the partners sue each other, but don't expect US to pay the reparations. I wonder how much money these guys gave in political contributions to North Las Vegas officials over the past 5 years? Also, when does the development agreement between the developers and the City of NLV become null and void if construction of homes and other certain progress does not occur?

Don't count your chickens before they hatch Sandoval Fan Club.

1. He has to win a contentious Republican primary that is shaping up to be a four way race, assuming the other candidates don't drop out. The primary voters are going to be looking for a true conservative, one who speaks and acts like them. Considering the number of teabaggers in that party that are angry and will vote in the primary, Gibbons looks and sounds a lot more like their candidate. If Gibbons numbers improve from 12% he has a real shot-- and they just might. Sandoval splits the vote with Heck and Montandon- Gibbons can squeak out a win, especially in a traditionally low turnout election.

2. Sue Lowden is the same type of candidate as Sandoval, so I don't see him taking a shot at the Senate race, especially with a crowded field of dwarfs (Ralston's political nomenclature, but fitting nonetheless).

My guess is Sandoval runs for Governor, but he loses to Gibbons in a four way primary.

Let them eat their own...

As I understand, the Solar Millennium Project is not located near any schools and the technology they will use is not considered dangerous by any stretch of the imagination. Leave it up to some to speak against a project based on false arguments because they don't want to see these projects get built. The NextLight Project is not using much water and will be able to provide energy to 150,000 homes, according to their information.
