You had no problem when the Union thought they had the advantage with these sites.. Talk about Hypocrite.

Ofcourse Hillary is pleased that the workers would not be intimidated, and that they chose to come out in force for her.
But she still expressed concern for the whole system even after she won.

Your just choking on sour grapes....

Neither Obama or Hillary won any "National Delegates" from The nevada caucus. Those wont be given until the State Party meets and assigns them. (atleast that is my understanding of the statement they (NDP) gave about Obama's claim of having more National Delegates)
They both won precint delegates who will go and represent them at the State Party. Then National delgates will be assigned.

But .. That in no way takes away from Hillary's win in Nevada. Anymore then it made her be second in Iowa with her extra delegate over Edwards.

Congratulations Hillary..

Most precints ran out of pledge cards today because of the high turnout, However That didnt change the head count, you either had the bodies or you didnt.. and other precints turned scraps of paper into pledge cards. This just sounds like a lot of sore losers to me.
If the Obama precint captians didnt have the brains to do what all the other precints did then thats nobody's fault but their own.

NOBODY was turned away from our caucus.
And our doors stayed open till 12 noon, later then most because the chair has the right to close the doors at 11:30.

Obama still lost.

The reigning confusion at todays caucuses is not the fault of EITHER candidate.
Nevada normally has a very poor turnout for caucuses and many were overwhelmed by the turnout, and supplies ran out quickly.
It may have been chaos, but it was fair. the people stood for who they wanted. and that is what really counts at these events.

Hillary Won Nevada.
Not sure how Obama's camp came up with their numbers..
But Hillary is the Winner of Nevada

The Union Leaders got what they deserved today, for trying to intimidate the workers who pay their salary.

Congratulations Hillary.
And Congratulations to the overwhelming amount of Culinary Union members who told the Union where to stick it , and Caucused for their "personal choice" Hillary.

Culinary workers Unite.
Stand up for your right to caucus for the candidate you believe in.
If you are not allotted the time from work, then TAKE the time and caucus.
(Its as good a reason as any for taking PTO)
Dont let the Union Leaders decide for you, or shut you out of the process.

Im Standing for Hillary.
Because I know she is the best candidate running for office, and the Best choice for America.

Hillary Clinton for President 08

Nancy, most here are not culinary, heck many are not even local, infact MOST of the culinary members back Hillary, over 60%. However you wont see that on caucus day because the Culinary leaders are arrainging it so only Obama's followers will be allowed the time off it will require to caucus. They are telling Hillary supporters they will not be allowed to caucus at the casino sites. And worse those who know better are not being given the time to caucus. The Union are picking and choosing those who they want time off for.

Whats happening is this.

IN a Casino/Hotel. Workers are given at most a 30 minute break, So the Idea that any worker can go caucus during a break is simply not possible.
What the Union is doing is coercing its members to caucus for Obama, telling the others the will not be able to caucus otherwise. And they are seeing to it that they dont.
The Union leaders are taking Obama supporters, and arrainging with their bosses in the Hotel/Casino for them to get 2 hours off to caucus. They are probably sending an extraboard (Non citizen) to cover the shift workers area while the Obama supporters caucus. They are not worried about disenfranching thier fellow union members right to caucus if they support anyone BUT Obama.

I do know that it is the Union who is working the schedules out with the Hotels, and they are the ones asking for "certain" union members to be allowed to caucus.

Anyway you look at it its ugly and corrupt.

AfromIA
I dont Blame Obama,
I Blame the UNION!

I know the allegations are true because Ive seen it, and heard about it at my place of work.

Also maxlongstreet.
Only campaigns should collect pledge cards NOT Unions. They are a Tool for Campaign workers in a candidates camp. They are not supposed to be used to influence the rights of voters.

Under normal situations I agree.
But.. In these cases The Union reps are arranging workers to get time off work to caucus based on these pledge cards.
An Obama pledge almost pushes you to the front of the line, wheras a Clinton or Edwards cards kicks you to the back.
Do you suppose these hotels are going to let ALL these workers off between 11 am and 1 pm on Saturday ? No .. only a portion, And I am concerned that The union is taking advantage of the pledge card and picking and choosing who will be allowed to caucus, In a way It gives them almost FULL control over the numbers.
Its disgusting. And sounds very very illegal.
