I wonder if he'll make stuff up like he did in his book. He wrote an elaborate story about growing up with Sandy Koufax ... only, when asked, Koufax didn't know who Larry King was and said he had never met him.
good riddance! he was never able to win the big one while he was here.
Who?
Melissa -- if a friend had to inform you that the Orleans Arena is too small to support an NHL franchise, what are you doing posting here? You clearly have little understanding of sports.
And, no, people are not going to flock to Las Vegas to watch hockey. This may come as news to you but people come to Vegas to gamble, stay out all night and do the things they can't do back home. They're not going to come here to watch hockey. And if they come from "hockey-deprived centers," chances are there is a reason for that: hockey is a dying sport in the States. Or have you been paying attention to the ratings for NHL broadcasts for the past dozen years?
And just where are they going to play?
What everyone has to realize is that all these pro teams are using the threat of moving to Las Vegas to get sweetheart deals out of the cities they're already in.
"There's not much room for criticism here. This is a great get for Kruger & Co." WTF? put away your pom-poms fanboy. what happened to the real journalists?
No, his name is mentioned because he has an agent who "leaks" Kruger's name to the media in conjunction with every opening, D1 or NBA, in order to boost his value when it comes time to renegotiate his contract with UNLV or seek a job elsewhere. That's how things work in big-time sports, folks.
Unfortunately, FastCamron, Sufferin is right on this one. I defended Kruger too until I realized this was his fifth season and should have been his best team. Instead of making the NCAAs Kruger's squad loses three times to a mediocre SDSU team and can't even win one game in the NIT. SOunds like Kruger's playing out the string here at the program's expense.
Why would he name his kid Satchel and then call him Chase? Seems like a hollow gesture to me.
