I for one am tickled that we have a president who is into college basketball. When was the last time we saw a president do his brackets on ESPN... Just because he picked Northern Iowa doesn't mean he hates Vegas. And those of you who think otherwise, get a life!!!!!
Northern Iowa is favored by 1 point... this is going to be a close game, and anyone who is already looking ahead to Kansas game is in for a rude awakenning. No Iowa is a taller version of BYU, but unlike BYU they have a great inside game, and our bigs must have a monster game to handle their offense... If we play ANYTHING like we did on Saturday, we will be home in time for dinner on Thursday...
Having said that, I think our quickness will be the deciding factor. I see a dog fight to the end, and whoever takes/makes the last shot before the buzzer wins... let's hope it's us.
Go Rebels...
The difference between this year and last years' teams is that put in the same scenario, last year's team would have folded as soon as BYU took the lead in the second half. This team did not panic, and dug deep and scratched its way to victory at the end. The difference is HEART... great game, great win, fantastic atmosphere, great coaching, great D... I love March.
WE ARE RUNNIN' REBELS, AND WE ARE BAAAAACK!
C'mon Rebel fans, we all know the "Vegas Invitational" argument is going to happen every year, as soon as any team loses to UNLV. I actually heard the first complaints from BYU fans as I was climbing up the stairs at the T&M after the game last night. Here is BYU and its fan base in a nutshell: If BYU wins ANY sporting event, they are the best sporting team in the history of mankind. But if they LOSE, then everybody else is at fault for causing the best team in the history of mankind to lose... it's that simple. BYU fans cannot and will not admit that they have an inferior style of play and coaching when compared to UNLV. That simple. So we will hear and read this boring and overplayed argument year after year... Now Cougars, be a good loser, put your tail between your legs, and hobble back to Provo, where you are the best sporting team in the history of mankind...
On a different note, is there any quick remedy to get my voice back for tonight? I seem to have lost my vocal cords after last night's game...
WE ARE RUNNIN' REBELS, and WE ARE BAAAAAAACK!

This team has nothing to be ashamed of. They overachieved beyond anyone's expectations. As a fan, I truly enjoyed every moment of this season. Sure we had some bad losses, but we also had some fantastic wins.
Thank you gentlemen for bringing the excitement of Runnin' Rebel basketball back.
Thank you coach Kruger. I hope you stick around. This IS your program now. Run with it, you have our backing.
I for one cannot wait for next season. It's gonna be a blast.
GO REBELS....
