There is only one solution. Stop the bribery.
Take money entirely out of politics. Donating to any political cause and accepting any money or gifts or trips, etc should be felonies. That includes the Supreme court as well.

Ending at Victorville makes no sense to people living in Las Vegas. However, it makes a whole lot of sense to the Casinos. If you want to take the wife and kids to Disneyland for a weekend, you hop on the train with all your luggage and get off in Victorville. Now you grab your luggage and do what? Rent a car? Catch a non-existent bus or train to Anaheim? A cab? What about getting back to Victorville?

Nah, you'll drive the whole way.

However, if you live in LA, you drive to Victorville and hop on the Desert Express which drops you in Vegas where a $10 to $20 cab ride takes you to the Strip.

As you probably know, rural hick town Ely is not exactly a Democratic stronghold. So the only senator in the country who might support continuing to throw money into that black hole is Heck, not Reid.

I'm disappointed. From the headline, I expected to read about TeaBaggers and hopefully how to exterminate them.

The God business is, by far, the best business. No taxes. People send you money and expect a return on their investment after they are dead and are in heaven. People work for you for free. The IRS won't bother you because you don't have to pay taxes on the income nor on your property.
A sweeter deal can be found nowhere. The only requirement is to first have all your scruples surgically removed.

Want to change something about congress that will actually improve things? Target graft. Their salaries pale in comparison to the "Contributions" made by special interest groups. Complain about the Supreme Court allowing unlimited bribery. Demand that lobbyists be banned from the capital forever.

End the payoffs and all else follows.
