GOD said ("Does anyone else find it disturbing that the maids at the Monte Carlo had to get people to evacuate!?!? Not a great emergency evacuation plan.")
NO, I don't, its their job, what would have them do leave you sleeping and run out of the hotel to save themselves?!?! That is a ridiculous statement, its the responsibilty of all employees of the hotel to make guests aware of possible problem and I would expect them to do just what they did and would find it "distrubing" if they did not help in the evacuation process!! It takes a concerted effort to knock on and enter 3002 rooms and have all guests out within 45 minutes!
