MrVincent this water is all recycled and in reality pools use very little water. Grass is the problem not pools..When I pulled my grass out I went from $200/month in the summer to $20 (STILL WITH MY POOL).

Federal spending moved to 15% of the total economic spending under FDR's NEW DEAL..Which was a huge increase but still nothing compared the 40% that emerged during WWII...I don't believe that the new deal prolonged things in fact if not for the new deals it is possible that the factories would have been closed before the war came along to right the ship... The concern is that the NEW DEAL did not fix the economy by itself, and I don't see a war effort in our near future.. The stimulus package will take federal spending to 25% of all economic spending but not to that 40% number..I hope it is enough...

Vegas built its original reputation on cheap rooms and cheap buffets. The Casinos made their money from the GAMBLING. VEGAS needs to give people cheap hotel rates, cheap food, and cheap alcohol again..and they need to get the word out...THIS WILL BRING PEOPLE BACK TO VEGAS...Unfortunately Vegas hotels became greedy with their $300+/night rates and $30+ buffets....Now we are paying the price...Vegas killed the goose that laid the golden egg....

THE AVERAGE WAGE IN LAS VEGAS IS QUITE A BIT LESS THAN WHAT TEACHER MAKE....I AM SICK OF THE CRYING!!! IF EVERYONE ELSE IS SUFFERING NOW WHY SHOULDN'T THEY!!! WHY SHOULD THEY BE INSULATED FROM THE PROBLEMS THE REST OF THE WORLD IS GOING THROUGH AT OUR EXPENSE...THEY PROTEST NOT MAKING MUCH MONEY, BUT RIGHT NOW THEY MAKE MORE THAN 60% OF CLARK COUNTY RESIDENTS...GET OVER YOURSELVES PEOPLE....

For all of you that think it is unfair for state employees to take a pay cut, please take a step back...Me in the private sector incur much more risk than a state employee and are incurring much larger pay cuts than 6%. Many people in Nevada have been laid off state employees will not have to fear that...Most people in Nevada have reduced pay...Home Depot has moved full timers back to 36 hours (that is a 10% pay cut)...Most companies have eliminated overtime so that is a huge pay cut, and a bunch of companies have moved full time workers to part time...
Housing prices in Las Vegas have plummeted over the past several years, it is now much cheaper to live hear than most places... If the state employees don't like it they should just quit and find better paying jobs, and let us hire people at lower wages...Oh that is right things are tight everywhere except the state....

This is ridiculous enough with the finger pointing...Yes Bush was asleep at the wheel but so too were the democrats. No one listened when McCain warned us 2 years ago....The war was necessary but the money spend should have been loans to be repaid with below market rate oil. I hope Obama can make things work with his majority, but I am afraid it will be politics as usual...Clinton could not do it and Obama has most of Clinton's team....

OK...I am a conservative and support his. Building roads is all part of the governments job...This rail system is an extension of the roads...

I would like to see them partner with the private company to provide a more viable alternative system.

The environmental impact study was funded at the end of last year it should be done soon unless the money was never spent..

This would be a huge boost to the local economy considering it should create hundreds of thousands of new jobs....

The city of Chicago IL has a recycling program that does not require individuals to separate from regular trash...Chicago operates a plant that separates it automatically...
