I heard a story that at some schools in the valley it is common practice to teach the class in SPANISH and the english speaking kids are put to the side and taught separately as if they are in the wrong for speaking the language of the country which is paying for these kids educations... If true this is sickening and all administrators and teachers that bought into this should be immediately fired.

I think that i will share a story i posted last year right after the tournament.

was one of the students that led the rush down to the floor, the barricades and heightened security created a tense situation next to the BYU section, because the aisle was absolutely filled with UNLV fans (Hardcore students trying to get down to the floor) and there were BYU couples that refused to use another aisle and pushed through the throng of students knocking them out of the way. The Student Body President and I Kept pumping up the front lines and I got into a shouting match with what looked like a high-up MWC official, he told me to stop it and that I was going to get hurt and I told him that he should get out of the way before he got people hurt (Perhaps in other terms, but I want BYU fans to be able to read this without any "bad" words) and by golly I was right. He looked up into the stands after I pointed out what was going on, while I was inciting the Front Line of UNLV students to PUSH ONWARD. Then when the security started to lose their grip the official looking guy said "Let them GO!!!!!" and we were onto the court in a hurry.

I think that the black walls are a travesty to the tradition and fun of college sports. When you watch clips on sports center of the end of Conference Tournaments and Big Games, WHAT DO FANS DO? They rush the court. BYU Fans Rushed the field when they won the Las Vegas Bowl. I believe that a bigger security issue was created when the BYU AD demanded that they put up these ridiculous concentration camp walls to try and plug up the entrance to the floor. It CREATED a bigger problem then it alleviated. (Are people really serious that the delaying of the awards ceremony for 10 minutes is not worth the countless photo opps for the Athletic Department and the MWC... As well as the timeless memories the Championship seizing students will cherish for years to come?) The fans would not have stood next to each other at such close quarters for so long had those walls not been put up, therefore not allowing enough time for these heated battles to get out of hand. I have to say that last years floor rush was the best experience of my college fan life(Besides going to Chicago and watching UNLV beat Georgia Tech and Wisconsin). The whole battle with security put a damper on the celebration for us, but just as the UNLV players pushed through with pure determination and effort, the UNLV students would not let them down, and they were waiting for us when we reached center court.
