I was really looking forward to seeing him play this year and I think we could really use him. Anyway, he is a Rebel and I love my Rebels. Can't wait to have him back next year. But, don't keep me waiting too long as each year passes I'm getting closer to my expiration date.
Sanford has had enough time. The only time that is left is time for him to leave. It doesn't matter what happens in the next few games. And, by the way, Air Force is a quality team in our conference and we don't compete with the quality teams in our conference. We don't compete well with teams out of our conference either such as RENO who own Sanford. Does 0-5 make you feel good all over. If it does then you are not a Rebel Fan. One other important stat to remember on Saturday. We don't win very much on the road in conference. Let me get my calculator and add up those conference road victories....1. One conference road victory in 5 years.
We need to give ourselves a chance and look for a different coaching strategy. Hire a good Assistant AD from the PAC-10 or other winning/large conference. Fire Sanford and let the search for a real coach begin.
I've seen Kehres name mentioned several times mostly by one poster. The guy is a legend in Division III. The thing that I worry about is does he know how to recruit or does he know anybody that knows how to recruit. There are no scholorships in Div. III and therefore no recruitment.
They are all horrible games. We beat UH who are at the bottom of their conference. We beat UNM who is at the bottom of our conference. We beat Sac State who is in the bottom half of their conference. And, then we get killed by a combined total of 135 points by the three top teams in our conference. The bottom line is we can't compete with the big boys. The sad part is the UNLV administration doesn't care because if they did they would say enough is enough. I'm done. This is it. If it's not about basketball I'm not commenting any more and I'm not following Rebel football any more. I know how to say enough is enough. This season is over.
I'm optimistic that our administration will get us a better coaching staff. Okay, I can dream. My advice to Omar when Jerry Hughes comes around that corner is to run very very fast.

The MWC needs to investigate Sanford's claim that the AFA is not playing "within the rules of football".
That is bold criticism. Where were the referee's?
