Hillary on the ballot in November=Republican victory

(Suggest removal) 1/18/08 at 8:39 a.m.

The bottom line is that no other Democratic candidate will mobilize Republican voters to go to the polls in November like Hillary Clinton. Even of Republican voters are not fully supportive of their nominee, having Hillary on the November ballot will be enough to have them go out and cast their vote for McCain, Huckabee, or Romney.

Given Huckabee's recent statments about how he would use God's laws to change our Constitution, and the likelihood that he'll win South Carolina, voters need to really think about the consequences of having Hillary as the nominee.

Rather that intimidate members into voting for Obama, organizers should be stressing how Obama would be the candidate who could win over the moderates and independents needed to defeat a Republican in November. Hillary would mobilize Republican voters and make it very difficult for her to defeat McCain, Huckabee, or Romney.

Though her campaign has been relentless in attacking Obama's plans for our country, the truth is that there isn't a lot of difference on their stances on Iraq, the economy, terrorism, healthcare or the other important issues. The big difference between Hillary and Barack is that Hillary will mobilize Republican voters and will not be able to win over the independent voters needed to win in November. This makes a vote for Hillary (to borrow a phrase from Bill Clinton) "a roll of the dice."

It's quite clear that Hillary is playing dirty politics to get the nomination and presidency that she feels entitled to. I was a big fan of the Clintons until recently. I am disppointed with how she has managed to divide Democratic voters. You would think Rove was advising her.

The sense of entitlement that Hillary feels is so evident in the debates. The truth is that if her husband were not a former president, she wouldn't be a frontrunner for president.

Hillary just called me a "brown." I've never been called that before. This is new.

Hillary's smear tactics are very disapppointing. It's become clear that she will do whatever it takes to win the nomination. As a Latino who supported the Clintons in the 90s, I cannot support Hillary now.

This Hispanic was a big fan of the Clintons in the 90s. In 2008, I don't have the confidence that Hillary can draw in the independents needed to win in November. I believe that Obama can beat McCain, Romney, or Huckabee.
