"We don't know who he is."

I am so SICK Of that statement. HOW is it that anyone can compare how much is "known" about Palin vs. Obama? Palin hasn't been thoroughly vetted by her own campaign, much less by the media, which has looked into every nook and cranny of Obama (both the pro-Obama media AND the con-Obama media--which Palin would experience, too, if she didn't use it as an EXCUSE to avoid scrutiny).

That's just it: the public doesn't really know Palin at all because she has indeed avoided thorough scrutiny. We don't know how she would answer questions from the public or the media "on the fly," so we have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how her mind works. None! And all those investigations--what do we know of her about those issues?

No, the public "knows" Obama a heck of a lot better than it "knows" Palin. It's jsut that some people choose to studiously IGNORE (ando/or misinterpret) what the know.
