I have been on the test recycle program in Henderson and we love it. Most times our recycle container is full and the trash is half. I vote to expand the program.

Take a look at the Pickens Plan; it details natural gas for vehicles as a way to reduce our dependance on foregin oil...we spend/send $1 billion each day to foregin countries for oil...
Natural gas is a bridge fuel between oil and renewables...it will take time to develop cost effective renewables that are reliable and available 24/7/365... True natural gas is and can be used for generation of electricity; but it is not the most efficent use of gas; we lose 70% of the energy value in generation, transmission and end use; whereas natural gas used at the customers burner tip delivers over 95% of the energy value. So does an electric car charged off an electrical grid fueled by gas really make sense, lets go direct to the source and use natural gas as a vehicle fuel.

Was out hiking recently in the River Mountains foothills and was amazed how quickly the grasses and wildfowers have died and dried up. I'm afraid we have a very heavy fuel load for wildfires....please..please becare out there in the wild lands that surround our community.

This is all well and good, but Nevada needs the manufacturing jobs that go with this. That is where the long term jobs are and economic development of our comunity and state.
Why was NCED not mentioned in the recent wind turbine Mfg. deal announced? These guys have to come to NCED for any incentives, abatements etc. you should have been in the loop!

Question?? Where is the Governor? Where is the Nevada Commission on Economic Development(NCED)? Where is the Nevada Development Authority?....They were not invited! Is this a policital event? I wonder...?

This is great news for the environment. Now how does the private individual get his or her tires into the recycling stream? Are there drop off locations? Do local tire stores take tires off your hands? Does anyone know???
