A very nice story to appear just before Henderson Celebrates National Trails Day. Trails are important to giving our kids a chance to connect to nature. I'm amazed how many children/school age kids have not been to Lake Mead or Mt. Charleston. Everyone get outdoors this weekend and celebrate local trails.
It's time to join the Pickens Plan and use our own natural gas instead of foreign oil to carry us through the next ten years. We sent over $300 billion US dollars last month to foreign countries to pay for oil we did not produce.

This project stops before it reaches Lake Las Vegas. LLV and Three Kids Mine developers will have to come to the table in the future to get the road improvements extended to their repectives properties.
Lake Mead Parkway is long long over due for a make over. And let's keep in mind things will turn around and get better...LandWell has a 2,200+ acre development in the works, this will impact Lake Mead traffic flows over time.
Let the Fed's build it now and get it done with...
Congratulation Henderson! Kids need active play. It helps them be creatative and grow not only their young bodies but their minds. Get off the sofa, turn off the TV & computer and get outside.

I concur good article on sheep.....big tourist attraction. Sheep and park were here before 9-11 the traffic will just be returning to the hwy.
A friend at Railroad Pass Casino tells me there have been two sheep killed on 93/95 near the pass this year...they do roam in search of water and food it's their nature. I prefer to see them out in the wilds instead of the city park.
I've heard the bridge is to be dedicated in December 2010...
