Does anyone realize that 2/3 of people sitting in prison were also part of the foster care program as children? This what society gets when people have children they don't want, can not afford and are not emotionally equiped to care for them.

I have eaten many times at Terra Rosa...there is no way in *&ll that your appetizer, salad and two ice teas were $99.00, first you ordered off the lunch menu (according to the time you said you went)...the highest appetizer is the prosciutto at $14.00. As for salads.. the most expensive being the swordfish one at $18.00 even if your ice teas were $5.00 a piece that puts the meal at $42.00 not including tax. And since when does a Italian restaruant use jalapeno peppers (in anything??)???
For the record I will treat myself to one fine (real expensive...$250+ per person) meal a year.

Good Lord so there are FIVE STUPID PEOPLE (2 County Commissioners, 2 City Council members and 1 citizen) thinking they could give the books back?? You got to be ****ing kidding me!! No wonder Clark County Nevada is in a financial mess.
Not to mention does Metro really need a yearbook?? Do they give special/individual pages to cops that have gunned down and killed innocent people???

People like myself leave because Nevada basically is a horrible place to live (ok sucks)(Vegas in particular). The jobs are of low pay and mostly service industry type jobs, the culture lacks, and if you have kids the education is horrible as well. It was bad in the 70's and 80's as well, which is why my parents sent me to a boarding school for high school. Needless to say I went to college on the east coast. The only reason to live in the state is no income tax. In which case I would live up in the Tahoe area (but then you need to be well off and/or be able to work from home.)And no I don't live here anymore (my mom still does). Also METRO is another reason why I don't live here (I value my life). Hell Southern California doesn't have that many officer shootings per year as Vegas. Actually two Fullerton cops are up on second degree murder and manslaugher charges. Would like to see that on some Metro officers. When hell freezes over....

After reading some of the comments...most of you have no sense of humor whatsoever...I would bet most of you would have laughed if he was making "fun" of rich people. Therefore for the conclusion I have come to, is that most of you have no sense of humor and probably don't have an IQ above a 100 either.

Yes the school was failing...but whose fault is that?? The parents and the students.
Yes there are bad teachers (just like there are bad doctors, attorneys, home builders etc...every profession has them). Teachers have a student for approximately 7 hours a day (i'm being generous here, closer to 6 hous) for 5 days a week. Yet people expect miracles. Sorry but most of the responsiblity rests with the parents who have them the majority of time.

And no I'm not a teacher (even though I did get a teaching credential back in 91'...didn't care for the profession so never pursued it past the credential/student teaching phase), but I do have first hand experience for what they do.

This principal is not well liked among teachers due to her micro-management style. Most teachers transfer out as soon as possible. I know this for a fact, this was the case at her former school (Bendorf). Who needs to work under a dictator?
I doubt that students actually learn any critical teaching skills, they probably do learn "how to test" and thats about it. And I doubt being a "lifelong" friend of Rick Perry is anything to brag about....he got "C's" and "D's" while attending Texas A&M.
