This is a travesty. Rachel's desert beauty and true night skies should not be spoiled like this. Haven't these developers destroyed enough of our land - all across the country - already? And a subdivision??? 700 lots? Who will buy all those houses?? What the heck is the Lincoln County Planning Commission thinking besides cash, cash, cash - for them! I really feel terrible for the residents of Rachel. Why on earth would their own (short-sighted!) planners vote on the side of an out-of-state developer and disrupt the peace and beauty of Rachel?
