Will the wise men please add "putting on make up whilst driving" to the law. I know that has to be as dangerous as any other distraction whilst driving at 70 mph!...

I'm sure all the people who say "good job Metro" would be saying the same if that was their kid who was gunned down. I'm sure these cops would have still filled the kid full of lead so readily had he been their own son. So what we are saying here is that cops have no alternative tools in their arsenal but bullets. No one tried a tazer, pepper spray, stop sticks etc!!! All that training we tax payers shell out for comes to this? It would have been more heroic for them to use non lethal force to get this kid the help he obviously needed. I guess it's just easier to burn him than save him & risk getting a uniform a little dirty...what was I thinking. Condolences to the family & what a serious sad state of affairs. I am not a cop hater but I am intelligent enough to question their actions from time to time. It's not as if this guy was shooting back. I still remember the Ice Cream lady story...

Don't we have cameras at traffic lights all over the place? Surely it can't be that hard to scan the tapes of cars in the area at the time of the incident & narrow the hunt down for the driver or am I mistaken?

Do we really need a law to fine moronic drivers texting & driving? Hell yes!!
I see people daily doing this. I saw 3 different people within a space of 5 minutes fully texting at speeds varying from 50-70mph on the highway! One woman then had the gaul to put on make up after texting at over 70mph & not looking at the road ahead of her. Like children they need supervising but they are all playing a deadly game. One I'm not willing to suddenly find out my wife & kid have been killed or injured in needlessly!

This ridiculous behavior needs to be stamped out with heavy fines. $50 is a joke!!

Screw all of you retards who think you are smart enough to drink & drive, apply make up whilst driving or text & drive. The fines aren't anywhere near enough for the lives you endanger in your selfish rush to nowhere...

Do we really need to wait for some idiot to fatally mow down some kids in a school zone or cross walk because they were "lol-ing & lmfao"? Lawmakers do your job & quickly.

Our house is almost directly in line with the runway by about 3 miles & a few streets North east over from the crash site at Silverado Ranch. Our 1st clue that something was up, was seeing the helis flying around our house over & over.

Both my son & I fly out of Henderson with a friend who owns a plane there. This is a tragedy to hear about this plane going down.

I'm thankful that the pilot averted hitting anyone on the ground. Condolences to his family & we wish the passengers a speedy recovery.

In a town where you hear a lot of people say, "there's no community" well done all those who sprang into action. You are to be commended.

I'm still going to get my pilots license one of these days, the only difference is, if I ever get to own a plane...I will install a parachute. I seriously think the FAA should make them mandatory on all small aircraft.

With my scant knowledge of planes, I have been reading up to learn as much as I can. I just read a section about taking off & leaving the carb heater on (the day before this accident). The article talks about how this can seriously handicap a plane from gaining altitude. I will be waiting for the crash report as I imagine everyone else will. Man this is sad....
