"Most appeared to be against out of control spending."
Where were these folks when Bush & Cheney spent billions per month (and actually lost some $8,000,000,000) in Iraq?
The teabaggers are not against "out of control spending" as much as they are against any sane economic actions and policies by a sane president.
The screamers really sound like two year olds who missed their afternoon naps.
And, oh how they scream. Trouble is they (like their republican brethren) just don't have anything productive to say.
If and when Palin is no longer a public figure - spouting inanities - the Plain-bashing can cease. Until then, she made herself fair game to any and all criticism.
As for her inanities, Palin may have, but doesn't use, the brains that God gave geese.

"Make fun of Senator Ensign as you will for his moments of indiscretion."
Moments? Moments? The guy does his best friend's wife for almost a year - and you call it MOMENTS OF INDISCRETION? He cost the republicans eight seats in the U S Senate by hiring his mistress's 19 year old son as a Political Consultant - and you call it MOMENTS OF INDISCRETION?
I'm glad you're "well heck I am proud as pudding" but let's be realistic about John Ensign's appearance. I'll bet not a single kid in attendance even knows who - the self-admitted philanderer - John Ensign is or does. Durango High School must have been desperate for a celebrity.
And, yes kids, wash your hands.

Conservative Republicans have neither understanding of differences nor memories of what has transpired. All they can do is complain and say "NO!"
Therefore, trying to reason with them is futile.
