"Gibbons is not a Governor... He does not act like a Governor nor does he have the heart to be a Governor.. Gibbons is a cold manipulating SOB... Just ask the other two women in his life, his mistressess, what kind of person he really is... Gibbons is out for himself, and what ever brings him pleasure..."
Obama is not a President... He does not act like a President nor does he have the heart to be a President.. Obama is a cold manipulating SOB... Just ask the other two men in his life, his pastor Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers, what kind of person he really is... Obama is out for himself, and what ever brings him pleasure...
See how ignorant that sounds? What I wrote about Obama is no different than your rants about Gibbons. Like it or not, Jim Gibbons was elected the Governor of the State of Nevada, the highest office in the state. That alone is worthy of respect. Making disparaging remarks about Gibbons is disrespecting the office of the Governor. Of course we are free to criticize his policies and handing of his actions while acting as governor, namely his handling of the state's budget crisis and Hepatitis outbreak, but to resort to personal attacks to show your displeasure with the Governor demonstrates you are no better than he is.
I voted for McCain. He lost the election and I got over it. President elect Obama will be my president come January 20th. I would not resort to making personal attacks about Barack or his family, as I have enormous respect for the office of the President of the United States. How about you? Are you one of those liberals who has yet to get over 2000? Are you one of those liberals who thinks, "George Bush, he's not MY president?" Get over it and move on.
Now if you want to criticize Gibbons' actions while in office, by all means go right ahead, but DON'T YOU DARE DISRESPECT THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, my state, a state which has given my family and I so much opportunity and prosperity over the years.
Judy that kind of comment is inappropriate and disrespectful. Regardless of whether or not you agree with his policies, he's still the Governor of the state.
LOL at the bake sale toon. Sad to say it probably reflects the financial status of teams in the sport today. Have you heard anything about more about the mass layoffs from NASCAR teams after Homestead that Jayski wrote about early last week?
I love your sketches and always reading your articles Mike. It is so nice to read articles from a journalist who is as passionate about the sport as you are. Thanks for all the toons over the years!
"How a flood of volunteers for the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama could shift Nevada's balance of power from gaming interests to a group of highly trained liberal activists."
Do Coolican and Mishak even live in Nevada? How can they be so ignorant? NV has been and will always be run by gaming interests, period.
Big surprise, the most liberal leaning "newspaper" in Southern Nevada endorses the most liberal senator in Congress. I hope when Barack is elected, he raises the taxes on all the elites including the Greenspun Family! Poetic Justice Baby!
Sorry Kyle, Tony Stewart told me to do it.
Brian, did you mean to say TG should move the start of the Indy 500 up an hour or two? Pushing the start back would further complicate drivers looking to race in both races.
Will Kyle Busch win the championship in 08? Absolutely! That kid is on a roll!! Can you believe it.. two Vegas boys from Durango High winning championships in NASCAR?
When I said I wanted a more positive attitude from you, this is not what I had in mind. Try harder Tony.
