I hope "escalate" never has a rash of bad luck that has him end up in a situation similar to the people featured in the article, but I'm sure Karma will find out a way to make him pay for his heartless lack of compassion.

Many of us are a job loss or a health crisis away from being homeless.

I've lived in both Reno and Las Vegas. I'll take the heat and crazyness of Las Vegas over the freezing winter weather and snobbishness of Reno. At least we can laugh at our many absurdities. Plus we have much better restaurants and shows, and much more affordable cost of living.
The only thing I miss about Reno is being 45 minutes away from Lake Tahoe and 4 hours from San Francisco.

Mr. Jeric must be one miserable man if something as insignificant as a 2-word phrase makes him so angry. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukkah, Seasons Greetings, Joyful Festivus... WHO CARES? Especially if, like he says, he's agnostic. Get a life. There are much more important things to get worked up about than a couple of words painted on a store window.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, Happy Hannukkah to those who celebrate it, Happy December to the non-believers, and Happy New Year to all (we can still say that, right?)

The only TV show I'd like to watch those imbeciles on is Vegas Jailhouse.
