Hope the coaches didn't divulge too much in regards to scheme. We could be that 8/9 seed opposite of #1 seed UK!
We were not one the first ones left out of last year's NCAA tournament. I guarantee the selection committee didn't have to think long and hard about that one. We were given a 5 seed in the NIT bracket, so we were about the 20th team left out.
The bottom line is...this team is not that good. Last year's team was not that good. People can try to analyze "chemistry" issues like a bunch of little girls, but the bottom line is that Tre' is the only good player this team has. EVERY other player on this roster has some major hole in their game. I'm starting to hate small ball with a passion. I knew the run two years ago was a fluke; three years ago was legit, but KK facilitated that by that silly transfer rule. We need long athletes. Kruger really blew it not going after players like Billy White and Darrington Hobson.
Don't worry about that last schollie folks. Polee and Joseph don't want to come here. I hope Kruger "hangs onto it" so that when Reggie comes in, he can bring in some long athletes that can ball!
This is what happens when you build a team around a bunch of guards that can't shoot.
Any word on what Bobak and Palelei thought about their visit? Any chance that either of them will committ?
Check out the photo. Would you want an athletic director that is posing to throw a football and doesn't even hold it by the laces? Bad sign.

I love the Rebels and hate BYU to death, but I have to agree that Fredette is a very special player. I have enjoyed watching him in non-UNLV games. I think he is the best player in BYU history (better than Ainge and the Stormin' Mormom).
If he stays for his senior season, he could lead the NCAA in scoring, while leading the MWC in assists. BYU could be very good next year losing Tavernari (addition by subtraction), and getting the Collisworth boy back from his mission.
18 points on 20 shots is not great, but not bad either. The average PG shoots about 42%FG and 35% from 3. For Jimmer that was an off night, but most other PGs would be fine scoring nearly as many points as shot attempts. His six attempts that he was fouled on, resulting in 12 made free throws, were the big killer, and almost cost us the game.
It is amazing though that he shoots nearly 50% from 3 considering all of the tough outside shots he takes.
If BYU can't beat a bad Floriduh team with Fredette, they really are cursed!
