I recommend that "omiscoop" stay with the facts and refrain from the personal attack on others' opinions. This is supposedly an open forum for all to share opinions which others might agree or disagree. If "omniscoop" can not understand this concept, then he/she probably should "keep your views to yourselves" as he/she scolded others with.
As to others' opinion on Bob Gilbert's guilt, for heaven's sake, the guy has been indicted! What kind negativity did omiscoop accuse those posters of? Does omniscoop think that such indictment shoudl not be a negative thing in normal citizen's minds?
I am afraid with the eruption of the news of Bob Gilbert's indictment, Rogers' intent to retire 8 months from now is no longer adequate. Jim Rogers needs to be FIRED from NSHE. So must Mike Richards and Patty Charlton Dayar.
I couldn't describe how excited we all are at CSN although the CSN administration has been awfully quiet. Justice will be served. Thanks AG! I found this comment from the Richard Carpenter Watch blog:
A wonderful day this turned out to be. Thank you Nevada Attorney General's office. You have not let us down. Thank you for a swift and thorough RAID on CSN campus on June 13, 2007, and a 36-hour RAID on Bob Gilbert's mansion. Thank you for a painstakingly detailed investigation and this water-proof indictment.
Thank you Nevada Grand Jury for the wonderful job you have done regardless John Cummings, Ron Remington or Richard Carpenter's interference.
Thank you Professor Sherry Rosenthal for holding up a blog fearlessly against all smear campaign from the CSN administrators. Thanks to all the contribution of facts from people in the know to expose this very ugly page of the CSN history.
Thank you Plebeian and Jungle for starting this blog to expose the very ugly administration out of your sense of justice. Your successor Taz is holding the fort beautifully.
Thank you CSN faculty and staff for coming forward with the facts you know to help indict Nevada State's thieve Bob Gilbert, who was shamelessly the CSN's Vice President, or still is?
CSN "President" Mike Richards, you'd better explain this one TODAY! Where is your announcement? Did AG and GJ not raid and indicte a CSN Vice President? Why are you not announcing this? Where is your leadership that's worth $280K? Did you not drive your car paid by the $8000 car allowance to come to work? Where is the news? You think we are idiots? Where is the news?
Where is the announcement of the CSN Vice President's indictment, Mike Richards?

Who said the blog had not informed the college faculty and staff whose lives are impacted profoundly by Richard Carpenter's frivilous decisions? Check out the comments from Texas, some was as late as 07/03/08 that Richard Carpenter, after he openly promised not to outsource IT at LSCS, because the previous colleges had different situations, has started his outsourcing plot:
Who wants the best for CSN? I can tell you it's not the CSN administration. Read this blog posting from more than one year ago, from Professor Rosenthal,
The Wisdom of Voltaire's Candide: Why we must "Cultivate our Garden"
Quoted from the article, "CSN is our garden; we the now hopefully wiser Candide."
To see the entire article,

Heart warming, encouraging, and definitely demonstration of leadership that you will never find from the CSN administration.
Considering the new teachers' training starting early August, this is very late in the game already. Worse is some people are offered jobs, but waiting on contract that can not be issued, not knowing if they should continue looking or not.
I can understand all of your frustration. I hope the freeze will really be melted soon. But as of this point, no, the freeze has not been melted.
Jim Rogers reminds me of a kid who kicks and screams to get what he wants. Delayed gratification has been a problem for today's parents to teach their children, but where did Jim Rogers learn this from? A televation station owner that is used to ordering employees around as a boss? When there is no employer-employee relationship, how about creating one called donor-donee so he can still order people around?
I am a CSN faculty member and Judy Stewart does not speak for me. In fact, she speaks against me and all faculty members I know at CSN. Mike Richards does not enjoy a wide support at CSN.

Judy Stewart fails to provide evidence on her so called "many faculty comments" supporting Richards and "broad faculty support" for Richards. This type of statements should not have been made lightheartedly, especially should not have been made disingenuously. Simple logic tells me that since the fix was in, there is no need for faculty to pour their support to Richards. If faculty does nothing, Richards would get the position. I found it difficult to believe those "many" comments would come to her when they were not even needed.
Mike Richards thrives on the failure of CSN faculty representation. He rewards those who lick his boots with state budget. This is a long-rooted problem at CSN and people no longer trust their faculty representation.
I found my solace in the blog (http://richard-carpenter-watch.blogspot....) which Mike Richards shut down last year per Richard Carpenter's instruction to silence the faculty's real voice. I consider Professor Sherry Rosenthal and Professor Stan VerNooy my real faculty representatives, who are not given relief time, free travels, perks, prestige, 1-year sabbatical leave during state budge crisis, etc.
I want to thank Professor Rosenthal and Professor VerNooy. I also would like to thank Regent Mark Alden and Sue Smuskiewicz, president of CSN’s council for classified employees, for pointing out the waste and the non-transparency.

I recommend that Morgen refrain from personal attack in this forum.
The overwhelming majority at CSN understands that Rogers must be fired so justice can be served with the damages that he has caused us.
Rogers openly admitted that he knew "nothing about community colleges" but he let Richard Carpenter wreak havoc at CSN. Rogers was Carpenter's accomplice to demote/fire faculty and staff members, well respected department chairs, and even dismiss a department because its chair was an outspoken woman who Richard Carpenter disliked.
Rogers was aware and supportive of ALL of Carpenter's inexplicable behaviors, until Richard Carpenter sent a gratuitous f--- you letter to the UNIONS to cancel the UNION programs at CSN that brought in $5 million pure profit each year to CSN and kept CSN in the black. For $6 million/year income with $5 million of it pure profit, year after year, Rogers finally tongue-lashed Richard Carpenter.
But many valuable employees at CSN by then have quit/been fired/demoted/lost health. A record high of EEOC cases have been filed during Carpenter's tenure and Rogers stood behind Carpenter irregardless. If Carpenter had never made that $6 million dollar mistake, Rogers would have never said a word about Carpenter's wrongdoing.
Rogers only asked money, money, nothing but money from Gibbons. How does that make him a great advocate for education? Which one description of the above paragraph didn't indicate that he is adversary to healthy educational environment? I don't care about politics. The topic of this forum is not about politics.
Rogers is WRONG for education. Rogers must resign!
