Criss Angel is a complete jerk and anyone who knows him already knows that. But to trash Robin's reporting is uncalled for. He is a reporter. He writes what he hears and sees. Maybe he didn't have the benefit of hearing the recording. If Robin's source was Angel's attorney, what would you expect him to report? It doesn't seem like Robin had access to the other side of the story and everyone knows Criss will give him access just to get the story told his way.

I agree Criss Angel is a total douche, but lay off Robin. The guy has given us 40 + years of innovative TV and celeb reporting. I'm thankful Robin still makes the rounds and writes a few stories. I don't get out much anymore but it is always nice to see Robin when I am out somewhere. He always has time to say hello and be pleasant, no matter how hard he is working. I can read Robin's article and realize Angel is the meathead in the incident, but then of course I've unfortunately met the jerk a few times.

PLEASE.

Let business make it's decisions based on profit. That's how business works. Californians will pay up for the renewable energy so they can meet their mandates. It doesn't matter where it's made if it's all being used somewhere everyone benefits in the end. Just don't expect a break on your personal electric bill anytime soon. Personally I wish every new house and car park cover came with built in solar panels and were connectable to the grid with NV Energy having to pay the owners the same rates they charge. That way you would be in charge of reducing or eliminating your own electric bill.

If you counted how many times police pulled their guns and Threatened to shoot people who were unarmed and never even committed or were charged with a crime, even after the police incident, your numbers would be greatly increased. I've been held at gunpoint in this city by police 3 times, twice at my own house on what was discounted by Metro as "understandable mistakes" with no IA action being taken whatsoever. After one instance I warned IA that Sargeant Densley would end up shooting someone, my complaint was rejected, although 5 months later he shot at the head of an unarmed black man for refusing to get out of his car. The man was lucky and the bullet deflected so it won't fall into your statistics and Densley won't lose his badge. If you want to stay alive in Las Vegas, avoid the police

the program is a joke. Ask anyone that's been through it from a homeowner's point of view. the only thing it does is buy the homeowner a few extra month's time to try and figure out a solution on their own because there is no one to help the average joe and jane homeowner or now homeloser.

Joe, sounds like a bad business plan. They'll have to pay the girls to lay around all day like the guys at the resort pools do. Besides, a lot of those girls I wouldn't want to see in the bright sunlight.

One of the most disgusting cities in the western world to call home. A melting pot of degenerates, losers and loafers. Viva Las Vegas sans moi. Au revoir !!

Another poorly written article with several inaccuracies starting with the amount HOA's can recoup from foreclosures. Nine months is correct for single family homes but incorrect for condos, which can only recoup 6 months, plus collection fees. So when you deal with a collection agent like David Stone at NAS, the collection agent will keep his full fees and make the HOA take the biggest hit. However, some collection agencies such as Collections of America, are willing to work with the HOA's so they don't have as much bad debt to write off. Disclaimer: I have no interest in any collection agency but I am a multi-term Board member for the the oldest Master HOA in the state which contains over 1300 residences.

Being an older, more established HOA, we don't have the problems you cite in your article. We did 3 major capital improvement projects in the past 3 years, cut our dues, did no special assessment and until our new reserve study was just finalized, our reserve was 100% funded. It was only the costs to maintain the new capital improvements and some "misses" from the previous reserve study that brought us below 100%. By renegotiating our management deal and tweaking our budget we can increase our reserve contribution without a special assessment and possibly no monthly due increase. Although if a $8 per month increase in dues is needed to meet reserve funding, our dues would still be lower than when I took my seat on the board a few years ago.

Every HOA is different and although many in the newer developments may be reflected in your article and the Las Vegas Country Club Estates may be the exception rather than the rule, stereotyping of HOA's is as irresponsible as stereotyping of individuals. Bad HOA's are usually a result of bad HOA management and or bad people on HOA boards, such as the ones you referenced being charged criminally. This is a town of criminals, found every where from the police department to the pimps. Of course a percentage of them will make their way to the HOA business. It's the responsibility of the Homeowner to take part in their community, if they want their community to act responsibly.

The winners are the citizens of nevada. We get rid of one crooooooked judge

Probation for attempted murder and a 3 week stay in ICU because the defendant's father gave judge glass large campaign donations

No Arrest for attempted murder by 4 individuals because her husband was their attorney

OK, OJ got 9 years and I hope he does everyday. but no one was hurt so how can you call these three cases equal justice?

Judge Glass's record should be there for all to see and then the network would can her for the show and we as nevadans won't get her back on the bench. a win- win

The winners are Clark County Residents as Judge Glass is crooked as the day is long. She has given extreme preferential treatment to her husband's clients and political contributors. I've got the paperwork to back it up when her Husband had 4 clients that should have been charged with attempted murder. Afterall there was video evidence that the nightclub eventually destroyed, there were witnesses by the dozen but when it came time to swear out an arrest warrant, judge Glass pushed aside judge Bonaventure and denied the warrant for arrest of her husband's clients. She let another attempted murder off with 1 year probation after he stabbed his victim on the front lawn of his own house, after being unable to extort 20,000 from him. Of course this "bad guy's" father had given glass tens of thousands of dollars for her election campaigns.

It's all out there for the world to see, but apparently ethics aren't a job requirement for CNN

Too bad most of the bars, taverns and restaurants off the strip still just throw it all in the dumpster. Just watch the dumpsters behind bars and restaurants on saturdays and sundays when some of the poorer, yet still willing to work hard, people are dumpster diving for recyclables with their pickup trucks close by, loaded with cans, bottles and anything else they can find. For months I would bag my recyclables and take them to where I had seen the same elderly woman several weeks in a row start her trek down the alley of dumpsters behind a Maryland Pkwy shopping plaza until one day I went to drop them off and METRO was telling the woman that she had to stay out of the dumpsters or she would be arrested because what she was doing was considered stealing the recyclables from the trash stream.
