I agree, ThisOneGuy. But most of America is not racist. It's just that the ignorant and fearful are louder and do a lot of complaining.
Remember the late 90s when the children would be lined up sitting against the wall surrounding a casino floor while their parents played? Vegas was a "family" oriented city then. Child care in the casino is certainly better then the parents leaving their children in the car or unattended in the rooms. At least it would be a protected environment for the little ones.
You may say that parents who have children have no business in a casino, but a lot of us don't see anything wrong with trying to win some extra money and, at the same time, have some entertainment. A person doesn't have to be into drugs or prostitution in order to enjoy themselves in Las Vegas. My wife and I enjoy the wonderful food, entertainment and world class shopping. And yes, we like to do some gambling as well.
I would not call anyone that plays slot in this city "dolts".
I lost interest in playing when Las Vegas casinos became penny arcades. Also, I hear that the penny machines are the new $5 machines.
Time to stop gambling since that money would go oversees as well.
What amazes me is that McCain sponsored a bill that prevents his campaign from buying the clothes for nominees. Oh, well, I guess he can get around any law that he c0-authored and sponsored.
$1 million to each citizen would have cost the government just $300 million. But then, what would wall street do?
Way to go, Gibbons. Shut down all the human health services. Instead, try cutting your pay to match the time you work!
cignetti, you are obviously not a senior, but your day will come! As a senior, I can tell you that it is difficult to locate doctors who will accept medicare now!
This is just the tip of the iceberg! Vegas might as well get ready for the "long haul" when it comes to the economic downturn.
