Bill,
Have you been asleep for the last eight years? It was McShame and the Republican's that fought for deregulation which allowed the Wall Street greed. I say let all the investers loose the money most people in the middle class didn't buy stock anyway. I won't vote for any encumbant so I'm voting for Titus. In Laughlin I know all the big shots support Republican Porter even when they are Democrat and they support Reid. That tells me all I need to know. I'm voting against Reid from now on and Porter.
Gee, Jim got real quite. Hateful people have little to say when they have to use sense.
We have gotten off track a bit, as this is suppose to be about the pending debate. None the less, I must honestly say both VP candidate are a bit goofy. One tends to talk first and think second (Biden). Biden has 25 years exp. The other barely talks and doesn't have a clue. She has no federal or international exp. Now it might be likely that McCain with four bouts of cancer might die in office and we will be stuck with an air headed Barbie Doll. On the other hand Obama is of excellent health and age so likely we won't have to worry about Biden taking over anyway. The choice is clear. Go Obama!
For the first time today I heard Alaska Barbie asked about her foreign policy experience and she said, "Well Alaska is next to Russia and borders Canada". I know it was an old statement but, hearing it the first time, cracked me up. No wonder they don't want her interviewed! What intellect! It's like jfnance calling Obama 'Hussien' all the time. What intellect, brains like a Barbie doll.
When someone refers to Obama as 'Hussein' it tells you what their mind set is. Obama was a christian long before he entered politics. They roast Obama for being a member of a Christian church, then they try to convince you he is a Muslim. They roast him for using a phrase about lip stick on a pig when he is talking about McCain continuing Bush policy, yet McCain is seen using the same phrase. Now they pretend to worry about economics when in fact McCain admitted on camera he knows little about the subject. McCain says the economy is strong then next week he needs to run to Washington. He even says he will stop running ads, like that is going to get in the way of a solution for our economy? Run the ads and spend the money, coward. There was an election in 1944 when we had the invasion of France, another election in 1865 during the Civil War. McCain can't spare 90 minutes because he knows the polls are showing he is sliding the wrong way and he knows he is to old and feeble to face a Harvard Graduate. It will be interesting to see the guy whom graduated at the bottom of his class, face a Law Professor from Harvard. I guess McCain is going to hide out like Alaska Barbie. Already they have changed the debate between Biden and the Barbie doll to a forum to try and protect her from a 35 year Senator. Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we practice to deceive...
I've heard the $700 billion works out to $10,000 for every man woman and child in the US and I've heard it works out to $2000. Give us the money let us stimulate the economy. It is insane to give those that caused the problem more money. I say, bring on the depression. Most of us don't have much anyway. We'll survive. Will these fat cats survive? Let them run for cover. Let them find out how violent this society really is. They horde millions while we beg for a buck.
Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive".
Nance,
Try to stay focused, this thread is about funding for UNLV. Its about who should pay the funding and if it is needed. Its about taxes being used to fund and where the taxes should come from. Try to comment on this subject. Understand?
I know that, did you think they were coming to see the desert? Tourist come to gamble. So whats your point? Geez.....

Abigail,
I recall an Internal Affairs Lt. whom was caught on video in Idaho offering a policeman a $2000 bribe. That guy just got a tranfer and two weeks paid leave. This guy gets to retire with all his benefits?
