Bruce Arena said it best:
"Let's be fair, there have been worse incidents in the game than that. I think we are somewhat sexist in our opinion of sport. I think maybe people are alarmed to see a woman do that, but men do a hell of a lot worse things. Was it good behavior? No, but because it's coming from a woman, they made it a headline."
Case closed.
Reach for the stars Smatresk!!!!!
Bring back Warkentien!!!!!!!!
Koetter---Pretty good hire.
Banker-----Meh.
The rest on this list---ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
Whether or not Sanford is right in what he says is completely irrelevant. The fact is he has NEVER, EVER, EVER taken responsibility for the struggles of his team. It's always b/c the kids didn't execute, or the refs screwed up, or AF played dirty, or there is no on-campus stadium. A good coach takes responsibility for the failures of his team. Sanford never did all the way up to the bitter end. THAT is why I don't support Sanford.
I don't know where Sanford is more incompetent as a head coach... On the field or in the press conference. Always someone else's fault. Good riddance. I would wish you well... but I kinda don't want to.
I agree that firing Sanford at this point (no earlier, no later) was the "right" thing to do. But it was hardly "bold." It was just common sense.
Na-na-na-na... Na-na-na-na... Hey! Hey! Hey! GOOHOODBYYYEEEE!!!!!!!

Rob-
Why is Louisville here 4 days early, practicing on OUR HOME COURT????? There is no way UNLV is obligated to let them do that. Seems like a stupid, stupid, stupid thing to do.
