markp you're wrong. We'll just print up more money.... that's the Obama way.
Maybe they'll give Obama an award for the largest deficit spending in history?
For the first time in his life he'll have actually earned something.
Sure complain about Metro anonymously on the internet but when you need emergency services who do you call first?
Things will improve as they should.. but give Gillespie and the rest of Metro some credit for admitting fault and actively working to correct a culture that for years has gone unchecked.
Let's also not forget two young officers paid the ultimate price for their mistakes.
Christine, both sides are heavily influenced by lobbyists.
Tort reform would help to lower insurance costs for patients, medical professionals and corporations however trial lawyer lobbyists have been successful in keeping meaningful tort reform out of the proposed health care legislation.
Will tort reform be seriously dealt with in any of the Democrat Health Care proposals? One only has to look at former director of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association and current Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius to find the answer.
Is this the change you voted for?
Under Harry Reid's watch the Obama administration nominates a pro-Yucca Mountain nuclear industry insider to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission?
Another example of Harry Reid looking out for our 'best' interests in Washington DC
VOTE HARRY OUT IN 2010
So potentially being out of a job due to a union smear campaign is 'improving their lot?'
How ignorant.
How is it a benefit for workers and their families if organized labor succeeds in shutting down Pete King? How do the workers benefit?
*There are people working at Pete King today
*There are families depending on those jobs
*There is record unemployment in Nevada
The Union is waging a smear campaign intent on either organizing workers at Pete King or running them out of town
Again how do the workers benefit from ANY of this?
I feel sorry for the families depending on Pete King but I feel even more sympathy for people like homer who are told what to think from the union propaganda machine.
You're and your union friends are so out of touch with the common worker and you don't even realize it.
How sad.
Think before you post homer
Having never worked in an union, I find it ironic how a union smears a company in this economy where jobs are hard to find.
Again why smear a construction company with hundreds of employees in this economy? Isn't that against the interest of the many families depending on Pete King?
Who will put food on their table? The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters union?
Construction is a risky business.. ask the families of the people killed at the all union CityCenter construction site. Ask the families what their dead relatives' union dues did for them.
CineVegas and the Las Vegas Sun have the same parent company. Nice disclosure.. J-School 101 folks
What's the point to your rambling rant Jon?
The only new part of the story is from RGJ/Politco
Q: How will U.S. Sen. (Edward) Kennedy's death affect things? Reid: I think it's going to help us
