I like Anthony Marshall a ton. He has huge upside, and is going to be a real star for the Rebels. I love his athleticism. With a consistent jumper he could be an NBA prospect. I hope he stays focused in school and on his game. 20 bucks says when he's old and wrinkled he regrets the tattoo :)
Well they definitely need to investigate further. It doesn't make much sense right now. But if he is indeed guilty, he needs to be fired. You can't hold coaches and student-athletes to a different standard. Is it too much to ask for some coaches with a little moral fiber? Stay away from the bars and strip clubs. You aren't in college anymore, as if that was ever a valid excuse.
Not much of a surprise. We've known it was coming for awhile. I don't mind much. I think he could've become a pretty great player for us, but not immediately. We are solid for next year anyway. It's 2011-2012 that I worry about.
I doubt it had anything to do with the honor code. Nothing wrong with following some rules (see Matt Shaw). I bet it was more he didn't want to be an extra on the Jimmer Fredette Show anymore. He knows he's more athletic and thinks he should start. We know Jimmer isn't getting drafted anytime soon...
Hey SanAntonioRebel, I would have to agree that that was a terrible foul at the end, but I don't think it was what Kruger wanted. It seemed to me that when Willis was walking to the bench right after the timeout Kruger gave him a look. Maybe not, but I can't imagine Kruger wanting a foul with that much time left and us up by 4.
This is amazing! You are extremely ungrateful, Sufferin. It's their money(the private donors) and this is what they wanted. You are welcome to fund the new football stadium. Thank you Mendenhalls and all the other great donors. There are many of us that appreciate it. Go Rebels!
Kruger is a great coach and a great person. He put UNLV back on the map and back in the discussion. He might not coach like Tark or get the same caliber of recruits, but I guarantee there won't be any sanctions or disappearance for 15 years after he leaves. We are on the right path, and I'll show my support by buying tickets and cheering for a good team that deserves it. You're all so quick to throw Kruger under the bus. There's no reason to, we're better with him than we were without him. I guarantee he's better at his job than most of you are at yours. Hopefully people aren't as rude to you.
Good win. Now we just need 20 more til we get into the tourney...
Just so you know, UNLV finished 14th in the coaches poll in '06-'07. The AP doesn't have a poll after the tournament starts, the coaches do. We finished the year in the top 15, so take that! It's ironic that your name is Sufferin when we are the ones that have to everytime you post. Your negativity is annoying. Get a life.

I'm LDS, born and raised in Vegas, and I go to BYU(but I've never cheered for them, even when they don't play UNLV). I think BYU's intentions have been well stated. They are looking for "exposure". Is there increased revenue? Apparently. But the church is already extremely wealthy, and I believe that revenue had little to do with it. As long as the MWC has the mtn, its bad news for all of us. I guarantee if we had a deal with ESPN then BYU would have stayed. I read the other day that next to full time missionaries, BYU Athletics is number 2 in helping people join the church. I think we take them at their word that it is about exposure, and if that's the case it's hard to blame them.
