Although the consequences are likely to be extremely threatening to the Western European, American and Israeli nations, I presently do not see any fruitful path to avoiding the bombing( repeatedly if necessary) of the Iranian nuclear facilities, and key military targets that would be used to repel the bombing, and in retaliation for the strike. I agree with Michael's statement as follows:
"If an attack becomes absolutely necessary, be honest enough to admit that we will NEVER invade and occupy Iran and make the ironclad committment to return and bomb their nuclear facilities as many times as necessary until we are convinced that they have stopped development or that a stable and trustworthy government is in place".
There is a collective body of opinion giving much more credence to this approach. As to the initiation of such an attack, the initiator might be Israel and NATO forces could join in to support Israel and demonstrate support to the action.
Good letter! And excellent post by Brad. The best thing that we can do is demolish the ignorant class warfare rhetoric emanating from the far left.
Thanks to the Sun for publishing material which reveals the substance of light on the subject of the importance and role which passive income plays in the economy, and the double taxation faced by investors who receive this income. When someone invests in a corporation as an owner in the corporation, the investor is first hit with taxes on the corporate income--tax number one! Then when the corporation distributes its earnings in the form of dividends, the investor pays taxes again--tax number two. That is enough!!Except for the greedy far lefters who desire to squeeze every penny out of the income stream to inflate government handouts, and without earning a dime of it!
Inconsistancy is the order of the day for this progressive ideologue President. Obama's predisposition is to confer political favor using taxpayer money to reward the hands that feed him.Solyndra is only one example. The Canadian-American pipeline another. This obvious corruption has been in plain view for everyone to see--including his leftist supporters who have been so earnest in their condemnation of Republicans. Obama's presidency is built on a house of cards which will ultimately collapse on this administration.
A CEO is brought in frequently to turn things around. If he does not, he's usually gone.
There was never eight years of negatives under Bush. Even in spite of 9/11, the economy showed incredible resiliance under Bush. This CEO has had his chance to turn things around--it's time to fire and replace him!
Bchap--Been reading your comments above;good job!!
Frank Simmons--I do not depise Obama--I believe that his progressive policies are taking America in the wrong direrction. I agree with his most recent policy to cut back on support to those colleges that continue to raise tuitions. I prefer that our young people be given access to higher learning at tax supported institutions without the need to be buried in debt. We must provide edcucational opportunity to our lower and middle classes without the burden of debt hanging over their heads.
I am sure that Obama's decision really helped the tourist trade in Las Vegas. Nothing but OK things to say about the Element but again no thanks to this pizza chomping nerdhead of a President for his green mongering tone deafness. I am totally happy however by the low budget food and room costs-that's never the case when Michelle is on the trip.
The failure to approve the Keystone Oil Pipeline project is another travesty emanating from the Oval Office. Another example of a failed policy by this administration. While we must be willing to protect the environment, the needs of the nation have to be prioritized and there is no question that both job creation and energy independence from the Middle East are at the top of the list of the nation's critical priorities. In this case the President is placing the complaints of the envirnmental community above the highest priority needs of the nation for his own political interests. This is an outrageous case of the President pandering to a loud part of his base, while the nation suffers from joblessness and energy dependence on the Middle East.
The lower capital gains rate is a healthy incentive for investments in enterprises who employ workers. The investor who receives capital gains treatment should have paid taxes at the ordinary tax rate on his original income that led to the investment income. This is just more class warfare rhetoric.
