Here's my take on this tragic situation, and this is geared toward Judge Mosley. Last year my 25 year old son commited a crime while under the influence of drugs (Meth) and alcohol. He commited a violent act against another (his drug supplier) and ended up in Mosley's court. After all was said and done, it was up to the judge to set the sentencing. His decision was to give my son (never in trouble ever, not even once before this) 2 terms of 4 to 12 years to run consecutive (finish one before the other kicks in). What's done is done, and we as a family have to deal with the consequences of my sons actions. What he did was wrong, and my heart goes out to the victim and his family, but I feel that the sentence was a little harsh.
What I'm getting at is this; Michael Mosley has been in trouble repeatedly in the past and the judge is asking for leniency for his young son. Karma is a strange thing....you either believe in it or you don't. Personally I feel it is well deserved. The judge has been harsh to a lot of offenders in the past, with no regard for past behavior and I hope his son gets sentenced by a judge who is just as harsh so he understands the heartache he has caused the families of the offenders before him.
