I am deeply disturbed by the naked ambition of the Clinton family to reach the White House at all costs. They seem to consider ethics completely irrelevant to their goals. I have respect for any candidate's right to campaign vigorously, but to spread rumors, innuendos, outright lies and smears just to win is an insult to the fundamental decency of the American people. We as Americans, must remember we are not a monarchy but a representative democracy and no one should have a sense of inheritance to the presidency. Bush/ Clinton/ Bush/ Clinton? What next? Jeb Bush/ Chelsea/ Jenna? And, Bill Clinton does not have enough decency to act as a retired President must act, namely as an elder statesman. He gets into the mud pit to fling more dirt on anyone who stands in the way of his getting back to the White House, albeit as a surrogate to his wife. Wake up, America, let us make sure we never forget our ideals. Even with my strong Democratic leanings, I am very tempted to vote Republican if Hillary is the nominee. With nearly half of the electorate against Hillary, it would be suicidal for the party to nominate her as its nominee. The Republicans are salivating. Let us ensure that we really take this chance to reclaim our status as the party that caters to real change and elect the only candidate that can bring about racial reconciliation, rapprochement with the rest of the world and a sense of commitment to the ideals of America. Let us get back to defending the constitution of the United States, the best document written by man in the last three hundred years. Let us elect Obama.
