How does the percentage of caucus votes received by any candidate have anything to do with the GOP hierarchy subverting the state convention, an assembly subject to the will of the duly elected delegates in attendance?
Just as this nation has devolved, the Nevada Republican Party has reduced itself to a plutocracy. They think that their well meaning membership exists merely to affirm their will. If not, they'll do whatever they want anyway.
These supposed 'leaders' are NOT true Americans, unless fascism is now the new American way. As one registered Republican - and I believe an increasing number of my kind feel as I do - I am sick and tired of it, and will NOT take it any more.
" . . . any worker can pick 100 heads of lettuce an hour, so if they are being paid $7 an hour then its 7cents a head and if you pay them double or $14 an hour then its 14 cents a head, labor cost."
Quoting 'Asker' in response to the question: "Would apples cost $5/ea, lettuce cost $4/hd, beef $20/lb, etc, if all the illegals left, BUT!!!!?"
Other than reasonable safety concerns, having just been assigned a radio call, or being required to return the cab to the company, drivers have no right to pick and choose who they transport.
As one who has driven a cab in Las Vegas, and who never refused a ride regardless of the destination, when it does happen, I have this suggestion: make note of the taxi company and the cab's number, along with the date and time of the incident.
That should be sufficient information to determine who the driver is, though it might also be helpful to get the driver's name and/or Taxicab Authority number. This MUST be displayed inside the vehicle, usually on the dashboard.
One can get a bit more leverage by politely informing the driver that his company and/or the Taxicab Authority will be contacted.
If consumers did this consistently, I believe we'd see a real reduction in ride refusals.
No doubt, some trips are more desirable than others from the driver's perspective, but the cab businesses in Vegas have protected status. The quid pro quo for this privilege is that they serve the 'public convenience and necessity'.

The true conservatives and genuine progressives across this nation need to have a pow-wow.
Smoke the peace pipe, and sort out the points of agreement and disagreement.
There may well be more common ground than most would expect.
If these two elements can unify - wahlah - we have a viable THIRD PARTY!
