The takeover of America by corporations... If it's such a good idea for a corporation to do it, why isn't it a good idea for our government? Let the revenue and profits go the people instead of a profit-seeking entity that doesn't operate in the interest of the public good.

Like it or not, folks, we're all in this together. What happens when these people hit bottom? They're on the streets committing crimes so then we have to increase our public safety and corrections spending. I'd rather invest in quality of life. Yes, their lives but mine also because it affects the landscape of my entire community. An ounce of prevention...

Unless you are in the top 1% of income earners, the track record of the two parties in the 80 years since President Hoover was in office shows that your bank account will do better with Democrats than with Republicans. I personally don't care if my taxes go up or down. I do, however, care how much is left over after I pay those taxes. Yes, the data show that taxes do go up with Democrats but they have consistently provided lower unemployment, lower deficits, and higher real net income growth.

Both sides are crooked in their own way. The system is broken and needs to be fixed but until that happens, I'd rather go for my wallet, which will give me more buying power to make my voice heard, the same as the corporations and big money interests spend their funds to make their voices heard.

Do the research, folks. The length of yellow lights are shortened and rear-end accidents increase. Of course, if we're just looking to go cha-ching, cha-ching...

Don't talk to me about ethics and responsibility when the Mortgage Bankers Association strategically defaulted on their headquarters building.
