Ditto Stevem. Dingy Dirty Harry will soon be voted out as will Dingy Rory. Your "thug mentality" stops here and now. It makes me sick to see what these dirty politicians get away with. I don't care to be called un-American because I disagree with their ideas. You don't see any of these politicians saying they will use the same health care they are trying to ram down our throats do you? I wonder why not. I look forward to a rejuvenating 2010!
P.S. Thank you Review Journal for your exceptional article today!!!
Well, the regents proved me wrong. They did have the guts to do the right thing. Congratulations regents on a job well done! Hope you all have a great week end, I know I will!
The regents don't have the guts to fire Ashley. It is obvious from comments in past articles he is not respected around campus. He has been there for several years and has the reputation of being a no show and never seen around the campus. Of course he and Bonnie have taken several of vacations compliments of the university/tax payers. It wasn't until it came to light that the Singapore trip was an all expense trip paid for, that he said he was paying back for Bonnie's airfare. It really makes one wonder how many other trips they have taken and the university has paid for it when they were truly vacations. An overview of his expense reports would be interesting. He has 1 year left on his contract. Lose him! Ashley should be ashamed of himself for not stepping up and being a stand out president. In this economy he should be grateful to have a job, but what does he do? He wants a car now. Good grief. I don't even know how he can show his face there, let alone for any length of time. If they keep him he needs to find another job immediately and resign.
I am not a fan of Rogers, but he is making his last 30 days count. There would be no issue here if Ashley had done his job. He is a train wreck and his wife (who obviously wears the pants in the family) is a bigger train wreck. I question whether she even has a high school diploma after seeing her emails. I would never treat my husband's fellow employees like that. What kind of human being does that?
I would like to see an investigation done by the newspapers of his expense reports, ect. Lets see the transparency here. Lets see how much money this man has cost us.
Seeing that Bonnie's trip to Singapore was paid for by UNLV, I would like to see an accounting of all the extra's Ashley has gotten since being in office. I understand he/they take a lot of trips. I wonder how many UNLV paid for. He had a job he was doing in AZ I believe through his own company, now I wonder if UNLV paid for his trip there. Intereting thoughts. I also remember not to long ago he spent several thousands of dollars on office furniture and wouldn't even let the reporter take a picture of the desk.
Since the Chancellor is leaving the end of the month I say as a tax payer, lets start with a clean slate and get rid of the Ashley's also. Someone better make sure he doesn't take the desk.
Maybe UNLV can get a president that can do his job and make everyone proud of them.
Makes you wonder how his previous job ended....
OH MY GOD!!!! Who does she think she is? They deserve each other. Good riddance. As a tax payer I vote for both of their contracts to NOT be renewed!
I feel very saddened and angry that Mr. Brown has resigned over "some of the most evil and mean-spirited people I have ever encountered". Unfortunately, this is nothing new at UNLV. It wouldn't surprise me if these "evil and mean-spirited people" are left overs from Carol Harter's Administration. As a tax payer of Nevada I am requesting that the President request the FBI do an investigation into this harassment and racism that forced this Dean to resign. If nothing is done about this, the President is no better than these goons doing this. I don't appreciate paying the salaries of people who take pleasure in harassing fellow employees and get away with it.
What are the professors afraid of by having transparency. I thought that was the liberal way?

I want to clarify where to find this exceptional article in the Review Journal today. It is under columnist Sherman Frederick titled "Enough is Enough, Harry".
