also funny; "Las vegas will never, ever get back to what it was"
hmmmmmm...... I don't think i have ever seen anything get back to what it was, how could that be healthy? gee, i want to be what everything was twenty years ago? Grab on and get ready the bumble bee flies not because scientists told him his wings are to small for his body, he flies because no-one told him he could'nt fly.
Better do a little more research folks, the influx of californians is going to grow, from their new 10 percent plus retail tax and lack of jobs., las vegas still has major projects ]that demand employment, house values here are attractive, taxes here aree attractive.
Or maybe you think people are going to move to detroit or mississippi? maybe iowa, or minnesota. do you research when things begin to re-bound we'll know it here first. the last seven years is a baromter for nothing but a moron.
Nevada will set a great example, not without a little pain of course but mor luch than other areas of this country.,
and buy the way if you voted for obama you should be high fiving it with your neigbor because you just got an 80.00 deuction per month for your taxes, now, you can spend it at applebees or olive garden, or usen it to pay down that mrtgage tou are upside down 100k or more, when obama's spproval rating is worse than bush's in 6 months you'll have your own naivity
and cult like attitude to blame, maybe everyone who voted for him will pull a "jim jones" and we can start to get this country back to normal again.
No question,
slots are significantly tighter. Las Vegas
will suffer if they don't correct the issue.
Have you noticed the lights on the machines are
hardly ever lit for hand pays? Local casinos or strip casinos are all the same. Its greed, ngc
allowed for tighter payouts after 9/11 and never
changed their decision, during the crazy when everyone was spending like drunk sailors they thought, hey this works good. Well now people
are paying more attention for sure, It seems
Las Vegas is trying to present itself as a luxury
resort destination versus a place to come and gamble for a weekend. If gambling is important here, they are going to have to re-tool the machines because the service is'nt going to carry them any more.
I have to differ.
Walmart has been doing early door buster sales long enough to know that this can occur.
Nobody showed up with intent to trample somebody to death. If you have ever been in a large crowd
that is trying to move through a doorway then you would know that you have no control over the situation as an individual.
It's all about wal-mart's ridiculously stupid marketing ideas of cheap loss leaders to generate traffic. irresponsible.
100 percent blame goes to the idiots at walmart.
On a side note they opened the store at 1:30
that afternoon, that was real big of them, a few hours of mourning for one of their very own.
credit markets, fuel prices, labor costs, and recession have put these companies in this situation. more companies will be facing the same dilemma.
nbc, abc, cbs and others are witchhunting and taking focus off the real issues.
If government is going to oversee these companies after a loan then the industry is toast. can you imagine barney frank running a
car company? government is outlining specifically how a car company should be run when they have never run one?
last night michael moore was on Larry King explaining all of the things the car companies need to do to be successful and Larry King applauded him. why did'nt gm, chrysler or ford
find this magic pill sooner? yep, we all need more michael moore philosophy in our life.
If the CEO's start flying commercially to save money on corporate jets that will help, standing in line at a commercial airport waiting to board while your company is going under?
Our government is so out of touch with what the problems are i am convinced their is no hope.
here are the bubbles chronologically;
dot com bubble big
mortgage bubble bigger
government bubble biggest
hamlets, hmmm
If management does'nt change, then the money is
is a waste. the big three are a thing of the past. how is it that you and I are going to own a piece of GM whether we like it or not. And,
it'll be expensive ownership with no pay off.
The pain is coming anyway might as well face it.
governments should not decide who fails and who doesn't. more social engineering.
What is more disturbing about Chris Dodd as he will be more occupied with own personal lawsuits than he will be with americas woes.
Chris Dodd needs to step down.
2009 will be double digit unemployment anyway.
proof is in what you do, not what you say you are going to do. This is a great time to be an american, but i'll wait to decide whether or not
we are looking at the promise land. by the way,
i get the heebie jeebies if someone starts to mesmerize me.
Yes, Bush is the one who went out and bought tens of thousands of homes and condos that he could not afford.
I have seen people who are over-qualified make stupid decisions and screw things up and I have seen people underqualified figure out how to utilize good advisory and make good decisions.
I am talking about people in political positions and management/leadership postions.
Great people don't make decisions in a vacuum.
Here again, someone got a 44 year old from alaska all figured out. remember, she is a candidate for the vice president of the united states, who are you? someone writing an opinion in crappy little third rate paper, by the way, an industry that has been in decline year after year after year.

William had a full glass of kool aid this morning. You would like it to be as simple as
that would'nt you? "its all bush's fault".
kool aid drinkers are what perpetuate america's problems, are you kidding me? do you really think that democrats had nothing to do with the mortgage mess we are in?
Obama's approval rating will be the worst in history by the end of 09'.
The plan is to spend more money on schools and roads, nothing will be created for sustainable growth, home values will continue to fall, but worst of all, more social engineering
with the new health care program, wait til you see this precious deal. going to your doctor will be like going to the DMV.
socialism is the next deal here. bit by bit,
we are getting there. nance posted facts, you william have posted no facts just your observations. More Government is not the answer.
Barney Frank stated that wall street created
the mess and government will have to fix it.
Fact is Government handed a free pass to the entire industry of home builders and lenders to wall street to go ahead, it's ok. clinton should have left it alone and none of this would have happened. but no, let us engineer who gets and who does'nt get. ridiculous.
Bush was handed a problem that was already there, that is a fact.
