Surely the liver of some young unfortunate black man can be found. Here's hoping.
And we should protest Kerlikowske being here. What a gross waste of our money.
Eight guns registered to him? Great country.
In order to be considered a hero, the mission must be heroic. Our missions in Iraq and Afghanistan are anything but. These are not wars, they are occupations, and there is a huge difference. All the violence is aimed at resisting the occupation, and our efforts to suppess that resistance. Shame on the media for failing to get this story right for six years.
The word is "integral," not "intricate." Typical. If you want to be an integral part of our community, put down your guns and stop killing defenseless animals for sport like a bunch of goons.
Your first mistake was in declaring that NLV ever had a "downtown" to begin with. The blighted strip along Lake Mead Blvd. is just one of many concerns that were ignored during the tenure of mayor Montandon, while the city council fell all over itself to grant breaks to developers in the Aliante area. The "real" North Las Vegas continued to rot while this vast new sub-community was built to lure higher-income residents the "new" North Las Vegas. If those new residents aren't generating enough local revenue to revitalize the so-called "downtown" district, then someone in NLV government really dropped the ball more than once.
"Crafty, veteran politican?" Puh-LEESE. Easily the worst congressman we ever had, and now the worst governor. The sooner the recall begins, the better.
So, Ms. Cegavske does not share the view of a majority of Nevadans that we should do everything in our power to fight this boondoggle. Let's remember that the next election.
"The taxpayers have benefitted?" No. Taxpayers like Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn, maybe, but until our gutless legislators drastically raise the gaming tax, we're not seeing any benefit at all from this moron's wrongdoing.
Glad you made your peace with him, Harry. The rest of us aren't going to be satisfied until he and Cheney are in orange jumpsuits.

Since it's a proven fact that there are far fewer drunk and drinking drivers now than there were 30 years ago, the only "changing trend" on which to report is the increase in fearmongering among those who have an ax to grind on this issue. Wouldn't it be refreshing to see people involved in working on this problem, who didn't lose a relative or otherwise have some kind of revenge jag going? Of course I feel badly for their loss, but their efforts all too often result in unconstitutional laws and bogus publicity stunts like sobriety checkpoints, none of which address the problem. How about some police experts and/or sociologists, so that we can be more sure of the neutrality of the research and intentions?
