Only if the second part of the bill has a rider that states that only the responsible parties are financially on the hook for expenses if a rider is sans helmet.

The fan base seems to push Reggie Theus as the candidate for the job. Since the Mountain West seems to be intent on being a smaller player (TV deal, etc.), I'd say look at a mid-major coach with a track record. Gregg Marshall of Wichita State University would be a good candidate.

So will the money contributed to the CDF be counted as campaign funds for our state idiot? I can see this entire legal battle benefiting the Dem's come fall. Leave it to our sub-GOP to take a bounty of votes and throw them to the wind. Sheesh...the ten-percenters will give this country away before they're through.

I was just as vehement in my arguments against expanding from 48 teams to 64 back in the '80's and it hasn't hurt that much. If the coaches, players and majority of fans think it's a good thing, then by all means go for it.

If it's just CBS and the sports networks arguing for it, I'd be a bit more alarmed. But money talks and it looks like it's coming, so we might as well make the best of it.

For a rebuilding year the Rebels had another pretty awesome year. It's a mark of how much Coach Kruger has improved UNLV that we're all very disappointed the team didn't go further rather than being elated at appearing in the NCAA's.

A better season next year and pretty soon we'll be calling for Coach K's job when the team doesn't routinely make the final four.

Thanks for another exciting season!

Let's pass a bill that relabels the death penalty "extreme post-natal abortion". The resulting head-spinning should give a year or two entertainment.

It's not just a commitment to non-learning by those who call themselves conservatives, it's almost a commitment to "un-learning" that disturbs me the most.

From a tradition of smaller government and lowering discretionary spending to cutting taxes and spending on never-ending wars, the neo-con's behave more like radicals than Eisenhower era conservatives. The coming war inside what's left of the GOP spells disaster for all of America.

All this bickering and fighting over a net speed that became obsolete before the 21st century. In Lafayette, Louisiana, the local utility provides 50Mb to the home, HD video and VOIP phone with unlimited long distance as a bundle for less than $200 per month. That's a city with about 150K population.

Of course, Cox sued and pulled every delaying tactic down there for a decade as well.

So could the federal government sell off it's vast land holdings in Nevada to other countries or states to make up for the lost contributions if Nevada were to drop out of the program?

Just wondering.

If this was a major issue, you'd have seen Metro writing tickets for seat-belt and other safety violations every time the wheels rolled on the "Flesh Tank".

So apparently there must have been some tacit clearance since I don't believe humans are allowed to travel on any road receiving federal funds without being subjected to draconian laws.
