The jolt will jump a total of 1 inch air gap. Each probe can be one-half inch from skin and still zap the perp. Actual voltage delivered is 1200 volts at .0002 amps, and amps is what hurts.

Many Officers want to be Tasered during training but now it is not permitted. Just another example where a few miscreants spoil it for all.
