Republican Solution = Abolish Public Safety, Education, and Health Care.
God FORBID that Wal-Mart be forced to pay its fair share through higher taxes.
Wynn and Brooks are private businessmen, selling a private product that is in obvious high demand. There is no "right" to be able to buy or sell a ticket to a private event. Kudos to Brooks and Wynn. This is good for the uber-Garth fans and a too-bad-so-sad for the scalpers.
Hey, afveteran, wow, that was really funny! How you threw two names at the President like that, being all dismissive, using your constitutional right to speak freely to write something that you believe was somehow clever!
Too bad you concluded by misspelling the word "drawer".
Next time you want to call someone names, use the dictionary.

With reductions in staff and faculty that are mandated because of state lawmakers' willingness to sacrifice public education due to the budget deficit, it will be interesting to see who will greet these new scholars when they arrive, wide-eyed, to receive Nevada Higher Education.
Please note that in the same edition of this paper there is a story that tax hikes are less likey and additional furloughs of state workers are more likely and realize that this state is trying to have it both ways with education when it simply cannot. We must either fund education, which includes retaining state workers and faculty at those institutions and not furloughing them, or we do not move forward to introduce more students into a system that is being reduced by the politicians. You do not bring more students in when there are less teachers and staff to teach and serve them.
