Is that the same governor who appointed Desai to his political transition team? The same governor who thinks inspections of these clinics are not really needed? Maybe someone who has not received donations to their campaign by Dr Desai, someone with NO political/personal ties should choose the overseers?
For $ 1 Million Dr Desai did 2 procedures in 2 years, billed UMC patients, referred them to his clinic, to then charge them (or their insurance) again for facility fees and record time breaking procedures? While the hospital caters the man lunch for free at UMC???? Isn't it called "priviledge" to work at a hospital, use the facility, rely on and work with the staff of that hospital???? This thinking makes no sense whatsoever to me.

Dr Chris Millsons comment makes me wonder... tubing once attached to the patient is considered CONTAMINATED. That's standard, even basic Infection Control.Period.
Ignaz Semmelweis (physician, 1818-1865)(please look up his name, discovery and fight for Infection Control, while being rejected by the "medical establishment" - Physicians and Nurses alike, if you do not know who he is) would turn in his grave listening to this "reasoning".
