I believe the water flowing down the Colorado has already been "divvied" up amongst the three states, AZ NV and CA until perpetuity. What is never discussed in regards to the lake's low water level is that Lake Mead is purposely being kept at a lower level due to the 3rd spigot which is now being dug. Apparently the cost to dig this tunnel increases the deeper Lake Mead is kept during tunneling. Lake Powell has been holding more of Mead's water due to this construction, but an "historical drought" makes for better news headlines though than a more truthful reason like "saving projected tunneling costs by keeping lake levels low" - so forget I ever said anything....
Quite a few growers in our small community provide fruits and vegetables to Vegas restaurants & hotels. I understood Pahrump Valley as an agri-center starting in the late 1930s with cotton and alfalfa, but I never imagined such sweet and delicious fruits and vegetables to be so available right here in our many gardens in the desert - and almost year-round at that!
Do you really want to limit the foods you eat AND depend on the FedGov to provide still another service that they currently don't do efficiently or satisfactorily? Some things require common sense. From the time we were toddlers, your parents have tried to keep unsafe items out of your mouth. How many people wash produce or meats before consuming? How many people even wash their hands with soap and hot water before eating? Wake up people - We live amongst idiots - don't become yet another one. Know where your food comes from. Know what your food eats for food (meat and poultry), but most importantly, use more common-sense and less government largess.
.....ever since Mr. Brooks took the opinion that his CDs shouldn't be sold "previously owned" without him being paid an additional royalty, I've not contributed a dime to his lifestyle.......and that was in the 90s.......Mr. Wynn's joint runs by Mr. Wynn's rules - pretty simple concept.
...well-said, ayden04.
Losing a young child is worse than a death sentence at times. My heart goes out to the family.
"Sarah Palin is proud of her country whenever she and her husband are not advocating the separation of Alaska as a state of the United States."
GOOD FOR THEM! I feel we as Nevadans should be looking into Secession from the US as well. It would be one of the best ideas I've heard in 30 years! Never have so many in Washington (BOTH Dems & Reps) spent so much of OUR money on unconstitutional expenditures. Bailout after bailout, misappropriations, deceit, outright thievery, cronyism, - sure makes ME proud of nothing. How anyone can NOT see it makes me realize how successful the "dumbing down of America" has been.
...a shameful sell-out. My Republican Party in this state is obviously headed as well by a bunch of thugs and criminals. Wait - excuse me - I'm supposed to be nice and not use abusive language - sorry. So I think I'll just go into the bathroom and retch. The whole thing sickens me.

Last year I was taken to Carrot Top's show at the Luxor by my oldest grown son. I wasn't looking forward to it - it turned out to be the FUNNIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN. From the moment he took the stage until the end of the show I was laughing so hard my stomach was killing me! I had to hold my hands over my ears during the show just to keep from cracking up more and exacerbating the pain! I'm a local, and I was totally impressed. It's a show I'll remember for a long time.
